These beauties have been a bit of a challenge to get going, but they are still lookin' good and solid.

when the roomy's were wee little ribbons they ate best on nice wiggly pinks - after a few good meals they easily transferred to f/t and rats. good luck. they sure are nice snakes to work with.

Much thanks to my BLBC family for the good vibes on the pics. I was actually surprised they sat still long enough to get some descent shots.:lmao:

Thanks, because of thier large size I have been offering fuzzies. A couple have fed but it has been sporadic. I'll try pinks, and move them up when they take off. I agree they are cool snakes, one of my favorites infact!

yeah - Scott's seemed to prefer the smaller prey, just 3 or so per feeding. They didn't go to the one appropriate sized meal til several months. Little stinkers. But ya gotta luv them.

I agree with the pinks. That is how I started mine out also. They moved to rat pups in a few months pretty readily. Great looking babies! Congrats!

I have had them start on mice pink, mice hopper and rat pinks... I usually don't have much trouble getting them to start. Every now and then I get one that takes 3 or 4 weeks, but rarely.

Just keep offering, they will take em. If you get frustrated - offer em day old quail and watch your fingers...
