Went to the "Rod and Gun Club" property outside of town today to walk around and take a few pictures because it was gorgeous outside, found a few things, but only got a picture of a Pickerel frog... anyway here are the pics...

Yep, just look at the tuft on the head and the yellow tail band.

Hats off to you for IDing those plants, Quig.

Thanks for the IDs on the plants Quig, had to have Matt confirm the bird for me. Besides the female wood duck, that one I knew.

Thanks for the comments guys, definitely was too nice of a day to waste inside.

Thanks for the comments! I was surprised at the amount of tiny Pickerel frogs that I found around the area, especially for this time of year, apparently they got off to a late start. I also saw a few Northern Leopard Frogs, and I think what was a Common Green Frog (I heard their calls for sure, unmistakable).

There was a turtle that was too quick for me, I pulled up my camera and he dove away into the water. For such a small little pond, it is pretty diverse in wildlife. I looked around for a bit to try to find a garter snake or something, but no dice.

wow. nice pics Jason. Looks like a really nice area to just hang out at. I'd love to get some pics like that, but with two little ones always jumping and speaking in a volume that would break glass everything runs before we even get near... lol
