I have been reading about them and such. We have beardies, leos, etc...
I'm seeing pics of them and they seem tame and friendly-- like beardies?
For tubs- I'm seeing taller tubs as they are arboreal...
whats with the diets?
I see ppl just feeding crix, and then the fruit diets and such...
whats best? does it depend on the owner?
any other info?

Cresties do great on Repashy diet. Just mix and serve, all vitamins, etc. included. I don't have any anymore, but if you handle them regularly they can be quite tame, but are still good jumpers!

They certainly are. Mountain horned dragons can be as tame as beardies. They do require higher humidity but not the high heat. Check out www.froggieb.com. She helped me when I first got mine.

Beth,
Good luck with your quest for crested geckos. There are many great vendors on the Net and you should be able to find one that will make a great pet for you.
I enjoy talking to people at reptile shows about crested geckos as I find they are a wonderful animal as a starter reptile (minimal requirements) but also for the advanced keeper (so many morphs!).
One of the most appealing aspects of keeping crested geckos has to be the fact that the crested gecko diet is so easy to use- no more running to the pet store unless you WANT to. It is a complete diet (all the vitamins and minerals they need-no mixing and measuring required!) and is the least expensive food you can feed.
I do not wish to sound like a saleman but I have successfully used the product for a number of years will ALL my crested geckos.
Again, you will have a lot of fun picking out your new pet 'crestie' but please consider the diet as their primary food.

Is this for a pet? I thought perhaps you were looking into animals for your store. There are many geckos that are popular.

Looking for both.
We tend to have things here that aren't as "popular" as pets. We have blue tail monitors-- don't hear much about them- I see them on classifieds occasionally. They are very tame, have crazy long blue tails, and not every body has them...
I like keeping thing ppl haven't seen before. Everyone has seen a leo or beardie-- how often do you hear about cresties (outside the forums, etc?)
Thanks for the links -- I'm definately looking into them more.
Saw some at a show this weekend that I almost got but I'm all about having proper caging set up, food, etc BEFORE buying animals so I didn't get them.
