What, if anything does anyone know about the Black Belly?

There's very little information on them. I know that Ian G produced a Yellow Jacket from a pastel to a black belly.

I know it's where the darker scales meet in the middle of the belly, rather than on the edges - some even have referred to it as zipper belly. I've seen pictures of bellies posted elsewhere.

But I'm wondering about other markers, or any other information on them?

I've got a female who has black scales that meet in the middle of the belly for about 1/2 of her belly. And I guess I can can breed her to my pastel next season to see if she is a genetic black belly. Likely she's not - but I'd like to find out more information on them if I could.

This is the girl in question (I'll have to get belly shots later):

Sorry, I don't know anything about black bellys, but I had to comment on this

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Men try to relax, but women won't let them

Jon's got nothing - he posted about it on BP.net awhile back and said he didn't know much about it. He obtained a Yellowjacket (that he's since sold) from Ian G and that's about all he knew. He stated the Yellowjacket was a double co-dom.

Nothing in his Hunter's Guide. Didn't know if anyone had any additional information. I believe John (jasballs) also posted a picture of a black belly in the BP.net thread as well - so maybe he can weigh in!

I'm not scared of the French Fry!!!!

Oh - and I'll try to get some belly pictures of the girl! Her head markings sealed the deal when I picked her!
