I dont' separate my clutches unless they're a pyramid and are too tall for my shoebox tubs...

When I produced my 1 and only Carpet clutch , I tried separating the eggs. That went over like a sack of crap. Destroyed 4 eggs in the process so I left the rest alone. Was my first time cooking eggs too so my end results sucked major ass.

For colubrid clutches, no. If it can be easily done with the BP's then yes. Normally if an egg is stuck in more than 3 places I do not even try.

I yank them little corn snake eggs right apart and line them up in nice neat little rows....funniest thing ever was trying to get these stupid little moorish gecko eggs out when they were the size of tic tacs...broke 2 of them with my fingers then figured out how to move them with a spoon so I could incubate them.

I have successfully used dental floss to separate corn and milk snake eggs. I usually only do it if they wont all fit in the box. Corns have a bad habit of building Egyptian sculptures when they lay....

I rip some of them apart if they are stacked up.. If not I leave them together.

I leave them together and seperate them right before they hatch. When they are real close to hatching (day or two) the eggs will just fall apart and no risk of hurting anything......

Yep, if they are piled too high for the tubs I'll peel off the top one!
