Seems like these two are always very close to one another....

Like whenever I go to check on them their tails are always close to each others... whether their just about to get started or they are just finishing....

From the other day... Albino x 100% Het albino

and then today... Hmm... Seems to me like they are becoming more comfortable with each other... :)

And then there are these two who have been laying like this for the past couple of days... can't really tell if they are locked up but they're been exactly like this for a while now! Haven't seemed to have moved... maybe that's a good thing?

I've also had these two paired together for a short amount of time as well... I'll always be a huge fan of pastels and I would love to make some reduced Graziani's!

We still have some more pairings to do but are waiting on putting some extra size on some of our girls.... Thanks for looking & best of luck to everyone breeding this year!

Thanks John! I think we're most excited about producing some albino's, Pieds and Black Pastel Pieds!

Really hoping we hit good on the odds!

Just paired the Graziani pastel with our Spider female... She's been acting funny wagging her tail and leaving her scent all over the place... Here's to some bee's! And later on in the season once I get him bigger we'll pair that black pastel het pied with her as well...

steve,
putting the girls in with their eventual partners every so often may ramp up their appetites. even just one day a week, it lets them know a male is around, if they're not ready they won't mate, but if they're thinkin' about it, this activity will get them chowin' hard for 'ya.
good season to 'ya,
ck

Thanks! I might consider trying that but some of the females I really need to count on continuously feeding and I'd be kinda mad if one was to go off feed... for as inconsistant as ball pythons can be feeding wise I have been very lucky and want to keep them feeding for as long and much as possible until about middle of dec/early jan.

I've found this to be true with my girls.. I've put males in with them 3 times now and they're really pounding rats now.. I mean they come flying out of the tub to get it..!! I've been tagged twice now from my females coming out so fast I couldn't get my hand away when opening the tub.. CK do you cool your snakes??

i did drop the temp from the beginning of oct 'till now from 91 on the tape to 84 on the tape, as i'm breeding my guys in 32 qt sterilite tubs, and i'm concerned about the slugging that seems to happen when the ladies can't get cold enough. i dont think i'll go lower than that though.
dude, you need to get longer hemostats ! my girls come flyin' out too, but my 12 " stats give me a some room to avoid the tag.
good luck,
ck

Man, I have to use 24 inchers.. anything less and I would definitely have my hand taken off by some of the smaller tics. I also use them for a couple of the more aggressive BP's, they flign themselves out of their tubs just as fast as some of the retics do. Hemostats that big are really unweildy, though.. Gotta be pretty careful how you work with them. i probably should have gone with something a little smaller and easier to work with, but 12" would be way too small for my needs.

Both animals are in shed so they are looking rather dark & dull! :(
