jknudson 11-08-2008, 08:08 PM You get to spot clean that cage!
He is REALLY cool, and now we have a garbage can for any uneaten rats!
rabernet 11-08-2008, 08:09 PM Congratulations Melanie! I've never been interested in keeping giants myself, but I hear that retics are very intelligent! I love his orange eyes!
Melanie 11-08-2008, 08:12 PM Well, we're hoping he won't get TOO big since he's half super dwarf but... we don't really know for sure. But we'll be prepared either way!
Some of my faves just happen to be retics, olives, anacondas... It's a curse! We'll try this guy and see how it works out before I invest in any more giants!
And thank you! I am completely captivated by his eyes!
Tosha 11-08-2008, 08:27 PM He looks great!!! Beautiful color -- congrats on the new addition! :wamma:

Travis Kubes 11-08-2008, 10:33 PM Congrats on that pick up! Thats a nice looking boy there. He shouldnt get too big. I would think 8 to 10ft max. Now lets see how long you can just have one retic. LOL
Melanie 11-08-2008, 10:34 PM Thanks for the compliments everyone! It's driving me insane not to go and play with him! As it is, I've opened up his tub to peek in on him a few times since we got him settled in!

I couldn't do it myself... unless It was a super dwarf I just couldn't own a retic or Burm... Just a bit too much for me! But Hey! They sure are beautiful and atleast you'll never worry about it going off feed!! :lmao:
Melanie 11-08-2008, 11:00 PM Well, it's half super dwarf... Lol! And, yeah, we're figuring that he'll be our recepticle for whenever the balls decide not to eat... :D

Yup! All the retic beauty compacted into a more manageable not-so-freakin-scary size! Perfection! Whoever came up with the idea really is a rockstar!
grunt_11b2007 11-09-2008, 02:25 PM Great looking retic!! I've really been getting intrested in the super dwarf morphs.. All the good characteristics of the retic without getting 18' long.. Congrats on the pickup.

Thanks a lot! They're working on getting a bunch of super dwarf combos out there- can't wait!
yeah i may have to shell out some cash for a dwarf. love retics
At the show I got him at, they had a couple super dwarfs for $500. Definitely worth the money if you've got it, IMO!
congrats on the newest edition melanie and i hope he doesnt get to large on you. hes very nice but i agree with alot of others when says he has stunning eyes. i'd love to have one but i think id have to have a super dwarf that way he wouldnt get any bigger then my other pythons lol.
Thanks! I think SDs are still a little larger than balls but, not too over the top!
xanaxez 11-09-2008, 03:09 PM oh ok, well i have no ball pythons all of mine are coastal carpets. 3 regular coastals,1 tiger and 1 stripped. i think there averange range is about 10 ft with some females possibly getting to around 12. but they stay sort of slender and long as to were the retics become beast lol thats why i'd need a super dwarf.
Melanie 11-09-2008, 03:12 PM Yeah, Jason just told me what you keep after I posted that. Haha!
xanaxez 11-09-2008, 03:18 PM lol its ok, and it was my fault. and tell jason thanks for doing so. i could have clarified it better in my post as to what i had. sorry.
Love the eyes......Congrats
