I don't but that is the one thing I would be willing to jump through the hoops set up here in Indiana to get....one day my friend one day!!!

Well I dont own any, but I love'em. Been reading about them and admiring them for many years.

The hot factor always held me back. Even though from what I understand their bite isnt that bad is rarely if ever fatal. But I dunno I guess Im just a sissy pants.

Maybe some day though who knows. I can tell you Im much more likely to have helos than a cobra, thats for damn skippy.

I don't keep any, but a good friend of mine in the area breeds both gilas and beaded lizards. I did a photo shoot for him not too long ago to get some good pics while I do his website and almost got chomped on by some baby beaded's. Those little buggers were vicous. One clamped onto his finger (he had a glove on), and he had to shake his hand quite vigorously to get it to let go. They're pretty cool, and maybe if I get more space I might take the plunge and get some one day.. There's just too many other monitors and stuff I'd rather get first. I'll post some pics of my buddy's ones when I get home.

Yep, they do seem so peaceful when they're sleeping. Any other time, though, it seems like some of them would prefer just to eat you. I was doing some research on them a while back and I remember seeing a sketch of a gila's jaw. I definitely don't want that clamped down on me.
