But I am not sure Tim 11-11-2009, 10:33 AM I think it might be ovulation. But I am not sure be careful, it is hard to tell from that angle, but I would be more inclined to think it is the start of vitellogenesis (yolk development) and early follicle development at this point (which is often mistaken for ovulation)... Which is still good! Don't seperate though (or only seperate for a week or so)... One thing that I have noticed with womas is they seem to breed like crazy both right before vitellogensis and then again right before ovulation - but it seems to slow a bit after each - so, if she is not a "willing" partner for the next week or so, it is ok - even give the male a break and a snack if you want - but breeding will resume shortly if it is in fact just early development. Good luck with them! and either way, it is a promising sign! 147BOAS 11-11-2009, 10:38 AM very nice and good luck smilin-buddha 11-11-2009, 11:17 AM be careful, it is hard to tell from that angle, but I would be more inclined to think it is the start of vitellogenesis (yolk development) and early follicle development at this point (which is often mistaken for ovulation)... What happened to your Evan Tanner quote, beeotch?!?!?! Sorry I took the liberty, but it seems like you needed a good ol' internet forum slap to snap you out of it. Sorry you lost them. Did you document anything? I hatched 1 of 15 my first year with womas, and it sucked....really bad. On the plus side, I kept the second clutch from a different female that year considerably drier and managed 9 of 14. You've got one year under your belt, and I'm sure you may have an idea of where you went wrong. Keep the faith though. Don't give up. I know this isn't very much consolation but you got the pair to mate and you got her to lay eggs - that's something right? And like Mike said, you've got a year under your belt now. It can only get better from here. jgjulander 03-11-2010, 11:54 AM Congrats on the nice clutch! Womas rule. Better luck next time bro! And keep your chin up man! It happens!!!!!! HulihZack 03-11-2010, 02:52 PM Hey, you've gotten further than a lot of people!
