View Full Version : Is BT going to help the show or what?
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 08:32 AM It gets very annoying listening to the show when BT has totally checked out.
This Tinley park show should be a big deal but it sounds like BT could care less.
You here him not helping Larry countless times when Larry doesn't know if he's being heard and having technical problems.
BT has nothing to say when there is dead air and it seems he doesn't even know there is dead air because he's not paying any attention.
We get to here BT ordering his food while Larry is trying to talk to him.
BT is bullshiting with people any just keeps repeating "Ya there's alot of people here, good crowd"
You can tell he just can't wait to stop show, anytime Larry suggests stoping early it's the only time it sounds like BT is paying attention.
I like BT but I think he's only into doing the show about a third of the time and I don't think he has the same passion as Larry does about the long term when it comes to the show. He could take it or leave it.
If it is the case that your not that into it BT why not have more guest co-hosts and give Larry a break carrying the show.
Just my 2 cents
Tommy
Wild Bill 10-11-2009, 08:38 AM Wow.........just unbelievable......did you ever think part of the technical problems was with BT's connection also?
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 08:48 AM I'm not just talking about this show. This past week I was on a job where I was able to listen to just about every show in the archives. It's pretty obvious when BT is into it or not. Hell Larry calls him out on it sometimes.
On this show you can tell BT here's Larry he just not paying attention.
It's just a observation.
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 09:28 AM I think BT is very passionate about reptiles and maybe not as passionate about Reptile Radio.
I think he's a good guy helping out his friend(Larry) pusue his brain child (reptile radio) but would the show be better with someone with equal passion or maybe even a 3 man show because I think BT would be a great color guy?
Buckskin 10-11-2009, 09:38 AM It's there party. It's there place.
If your at a party and your host has bad breath.
You yell out. OH MAN YOUR BREATH STINKS.
You might say you are trying to help that person because you really like them.
But in fact you are a rude ass who I would throw out the door.
If you really want to help you talk to them in PRIVATE. Not on an open board.
Unless your stupid or trying to make someone look bad.
So which one is it. Are you stupid ?
Then apologize and say your sorry for the embarrassment you may have caused.
If it's intentionally trying to hurt the leaders of this site. Well the party is just starting.
norsmis 10-11-2009, 09:51 AM Bro, do have any idea what its like trying to do a live broadcast from a show when people are walking by talking to you? I was the one taking BT's order for food and I can tell you he wasnt just sitting there not paying attention. There are a thousand things going on.
Like Bucksin said, if you have some constructive criticism, do in a Pm to BT. Not here on the open boards.
I for one do not like the way you went about this at all. End of conversation....
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 10:00 AM I'm sorry I didn't realize this was a club where the members can't voice their opinion. I think I remember one of those clubs being real popular in europe back in the 40's.
If you notice I did no name calling but you did Claude. Real mature.
I think alot of people including our leaders speak publicly on this forum about people. I dont remember Larry saying he talked to Lincoln's decendants privately before he went his rant. hahaha Just kidding Larry.
Your bad breath analogy is bad as well. I never said point blank "Hey BT sucks" or anything close to it. It was just my own observation where I could be dead wrong.
So BT if I embarrassed you in any way, as Claude said I truly apologize.
I really don't see you as the kind of guy to let my little criticism get to you to much though.
Tommy

So you are comparing this club to what? Natzi Germany? Bro let me explain the BLBC to you a little better. This club is for anyone who wants to talk herps, husbandry, breeding and jsut about anything else. But we will not stand for someone coming in here and blasting the guys who work so hard to keep all this running. Do you think its easy for these guys to work a full time job, keep up with their own collections, raise a family, do the radio show, and try to make everyone out there happy? Take a moment and think about it.
Can people speak their minds here? By all means. But dont expect everyone to be nice to you when come in here blasting BT like that. Like I said, a more civil approach from you would have been to pm BT and ask him those questions.
Here is some advice for you. IF you dont like the way the show is, go away. Others enjoy it.
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 10:14 AM Norsmis your right I should have said spoke privately. Point taken. I used to call when the guys had a answering machine and took suggestions but never got a response.
I wasn't just speaking of this Live Tinley show when I gave my opinion.
I'll go to timeout now.
Have fun at Tinley and give BT a big hug for me since Claude thinks he's gonna need after my terrible actions.

I asked a question. ARE YOU STUPID ?
You seem to be answering that question.
norsmis 10-11-2009, 10:21 AM Norsmis your right I should have said spoke privately. Point taken. I used to call when the guys had a answering machine and took suggestions but never got a response.

BT could care less bro. He is pretty thick skinned and can take as much as he can give. Trust me, we dont have to defend BT. BUT, BT is a friend to most of us here and you came on with guns blazing. You will get a reaction from the members. We are a close knit group bro and look out for our own. Do me a favor and step into the club with us. There is plenty of room.
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 10:29 AM I just have one question. You see no way in which the show could be better?
Where can we give input or ideas on the show?
I thought I already was in the club? Just don't stir the pot right.
How many times are you going to say are you stupid Claude? You sound like a 2 year old. I'm rubber your glue.
T Boyd I have no clue were your coming from. I have listened yo Reptile radio since May '09 and have went back and listened to most the archive shows. I hear BT get more involved sometimes than Larry. Nothing against Larry either there both great and wouldn't be the same show without either one of them. There is many times I get into the shows cause of the in depth questions BT ask. He ask these big timers and other breeders some really good questions. I think Larry has a louder voice and more up beat and BT just sounds like a laid back guy that may be were your confusing it. Its not that he don't care he is just laid back and absorbing the information given by there guest.
Mrs. Sputnik 10-11-2009, 11:13 AM This is Larry & BT's show and they each contribute
Dont like it dont listen:rebel:

norsmis 10-11-2009, 11:20 AM Personally, I think they both ddo a great job. And like I said, I was there when the show was going on and there were a thousand things going on. I applaud them for their multi-tasking skills. Hell it aint easy to ignore me when I am taking food orders!
BT and Larry, keep up the good work! We appreciate all you do for us and the herp community!
asplundii 10-11-2009, 11:37 AM I think I remember one of those clubs being real popular in europe back in the 40's.
Godwin's Law :nono:
And in accordance with the dictates of Godwin's Law you have automatically lost this argument because it is such a lame-ass, low blow.
Rapture 10-11-2009, 11:37 AM We love BT the way he is, we don't need some radio voice to make us feel happy and excited about reptiles, we feel that way already.

well put
norsmis 10-11-2009, 12:02 PM Alright peeps lets keep this civil. We know BT is doing a good job. I dont want to move this to the saloon....

Maybe you got no response because what you had to say was lame. (like this thread)
You wait until they're both busy at a huge event to attack their way of doing things and won't have the time to respond? That shows great character.
How many show suggestion threads are there that you could have given some good ideas to or started one of your own?
Backstabbing and manipulative to say that one of the hosts isn't pulling his weight publicly and in this timing.
I won't defend BT. He doesn't need it. Not from anonymous internet idiot like me or anyone else.
BOTH hosts do a great job producing an informative, entertaining, quality product with outstanding guests. Keep it up guys!
There have been open board suggestion threads for the show recently started by Larry . This could have been thought out and worded differently as a suggestion or question not come across as an attack and while everyone is away at the show ???? Think about it .
This seems disrespectful the way it was done .
BryGuy 10-11-2009, 01:01 PM Brown nose
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey I guess there is no possible way the show could be better.
Who could ever question the great BT.
NOW you resort to PM? That should have been your first option.
No one ever said the show couldn't be better. You assume the hosts don't care to make it better. That was your first mistake.
If I'm a brown nose for liking the show, so be it. I've learned virtually everything about herp keeping from the show and these boards.
Don't come attacking the show on their own boards and expect to find a lot of support.
147BOAS 10-11-2009, 01:14 PM hey if you don't like just listening to Larry then don't listen at all i think the show is great just the way it is
k-arbogast 10-11-2009, 02:15 PM If it ain't broke don't fix it!:rebel: BT and Larry do a great job with the show and with this site, period. These guys are hardcore herpers and not pro radio personalities and it is that "real" attitude that draws many of us listeners that are sick of Discovery channel type fake personas and the crappy misinformation they spew!
Kind of a weird time to pick at the show,....ya know when the guys are away trying to enjoy a great weekend of reptile overload. Low blow there T_Boyd, and don't try back peddlin' on this one.....you have made some very strong derogatory comments about the members as well as BT. If you buy it, you must own it pal.
JChandler 10-11-2009, 03:47 PM LMFAO
Calling people out when they aren't even around knowing they are at the show...nice class act.
Southern Wolf 10-11-2009, 05:00 PM You claim that you listed to all the archives.... well I guess you missed one. (or its here in the archives... cant remember which)... but in one of the archives Larry states that he got an offer from a "big name" to do the show with him.... and you know what. He turned it down. HE wanted BT to do the show with him.
That is all that matters. Period... end of story. As long as Larry is happy with his co-host.. then nothing else needs to be said.
I have never met BT.. couldnt pick him out of a crowd.... Im just calling it as I see it. As long as Larry is happy....and BT is happy... then the rest dont have nothing to say about it.
This was a low blow on you part.... especially knowing that they were at Tinley and prolly wouldnt be online for a few days.

BT is one ugly mo fo brother. You couldnt miss him! :lmao::lmao::lmao:
Just kidding BT. Dont drop the ban hammer on me!
This is a pretty sad thread to say the least. You ever meet either of them? Maybe if you had you'd understand the dynamic between them.
This was a crap move on your behalf to pull this while the Generals were away from the board.
Southern Wolf 10-11-2009, 05:29 PM I got a thread idea for ya
"Is T Boyd going to help the forums or what? "

hogboy 10-11-2009, 06:47 PM Larry & BT do a great job, one compliments the other
Hey you try doing a broadcast from a big show, with a couple of cell phones, and let see how you get on ??????
Technology sucks sometimes.

Godwin's Law :nono:
And in accordance with the dictates of Godwin's Law you have automatically lost this argument because it is such a lame-ass, low blow.
The PM I received:
It's called levity. Look into it.
lev*i*ty
noun
humor or frivolity.
What planet are you from where the act of Nazi Germany were humorous and/or frivolous?
Melanie 10-11-2009, 07:12 PM Maybe you don't know this but during the broadcasts not only is BT contributing to the conversation but he's also reading the questions people are emailing in and asking in the chat, trying to decide which are the more important questions to ask in the time allotted, etc. It's not just talkin on the phone. Just sayin...
JChandler 10-11-2009, 07:46 PM I love the pm part of this, trying to call out this topic on the board and yet you are arguing with people in private who disagree with your view...lmao
So are you looking for an audition or when is your show coming on since you are just seem to be looking for attention or a hug or something...
Free world say what you want but when people don't agree with you to get all pissy is just really funny....:lmao:
phunkyone808 10-11-2009, 07:48 PM I enjoy the show and look foward to listening to it everyweek.........i just found out how to listen to past shows on my iphone with out having to download it .........i want to try and see if i can listen live now on it without having to call in...........being in vegas we are usually out on sat nite at 9pm..........
i think they do a great job.....I know with my little collection 30 Bps , having a wife daughter and job..baby sitting 30 journymen and apprentices .........LOL jk but i have a full plate and know how herd it is ........I think they have a bigger full plate and doing a great job............I hope you guys enjoyed Tinley and hopefully one day i can go to a great reptile expo with the fam bam...........maybe in cali or Az next year!
KEEP up the good work!
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 08:07 PM All any of you need to do is reveiw the tapes of the shows.
I like BT when he's interested. BT speaks his mind just like I do. I also think BT could really give a rats ass for what I think(another reason I like him).
Sometimes I know the truth really hurts.
Attacking me because I voice my personal opinion on the show is just funny.
If all of you think there is no room for improvment, that's great.
I'm not asking BT to morph into some Big voice, big persona radio guy.
If my opinion was so outlandish I don't think so many people would be getting worked up.

Just so you can re-read what you wrote...those aren't opinions those are assumptions. You assume he isn't paying attention, you assume he doesn't care....
Why do folks here get worked up about it...because you don't have the facts to back any of this up. Just calling him out when he is unavailable to respond back.
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 08:21 PM I believe my first post ended with "Just my 2 cents" sounds like opinion to me.

norsmis 10-11-2009, 08:29 PM T_Boyd you are embarassing us Texans. Knock it off already. Sending stupid pm's to people isnt helping. If you want to be ostracized here, you are doing a great job.
T_Boyd 10-11-2009, 08:32 PM This is like the twilight zone and I'm back in 3rd grade.
Thinking I posted today to avoid BT is hilarious. I think BT will be back on here soon enough and if he is really so offened by this as you guys think he will be, he can talk to me.
I can't believe how worked up everyone is it's embarassing. Now take a deep breath and go pet your snakes Ralph isn't taking BT's place.

No you aren't a clone. You are a jackass.
I'm tired so I'll try not to ramble...
I apologize if you thought "my" side of the Tinley show sucked...It's a tough little gig doing these shows - Lining up guest - Blah blah blah...Doing a show like Tinley is a bear in it's self...Once we were in the convention center we couldn't get a signal for about an hour before the show...Once we got a signal it was terrible - Worst than Daytona last year...When Larry walked the convention center it got worse...Sometimes I could here him - Sometimes I couldn't...I couldn't see him at all...The mic didn't work...It's a lot tuffer than you think - Believe me...
There were a ton of people that came thru the door...You know what else - Lots of them stopped by the table - Even when we were doing the show...LOL....The majority of the time during the show - I was by my self...Do I not speak to people when they say "Hey BT"? Do I tell them to beat it when they ask me how much are the shirts? You didn't hear the majority of what went on during the shows...LOL...You didn't hear CK's loud trap? LOL...Good stuff if you didn't...I can't even remember how many times my phone connection got kicked off...Blogtalk and a bad signal just don't go hand in hand...And yes - It's frustating as hell but I deal with it and I'll leave it at that...
No passion you say? Yeah your right - I was tired...I'm tired now - Just got home a couple of hours ago...You probably don't know much about me so I'll share...I work 3rd shift (10PM - 6:30AM)...I worked Thursday night - Got off Friday morning...Checked the snakes, rodents, packed a bag and loaded up a 1/2 dozen snakes that I sold and hit the road...Drove all day to get to Tinley...Finally got to bed around 6PM...I actually sleep till about 2AM...Stayed up till 6PM Saturday night - Back up by 9PM...Went back to bed around 4AM Sunday morning - Back up at 7AM to finsh up the show...Fun stuff that 3rd shift schedule...
I spent around $500 on this trip so I'd say a little something might still be there...I wouldn't call it passion though...I've spent the last 2 years doing these shows every Saturday night like clockwork - Haven't missed one...I've spent a shit load of money on this forum so the Bush-leaguers would have a home...Believe me there is a little something there - Sorry it didn't sound like for the Tinley broadcast...
So there you have it...I'm tired as hell - Spent a bunch of money on a weekend trip away from my wife and 3 kids to put on a less than stellar performance...It's all good though - No hurt feelings here...I'll try to put a little juice in the boost next time...
Almost forgot - Appreciate the burger Ron - Much appreciated...Don't get to eat when your show is from Noon - 2PM...

Not that you needed to explain yourself to us brother but thanks. And I hope the burger helped out bro! The least I could do for everything you do for us!
Now get some rest brother. We will hold down the fort!
Mrs. Norsmis 10-11-2009, 10:11 PM I listened to the show this morning and thought it was awesome! Keep up the great work Larry and BT!!!!
Buckskin 10-11-2009, 10:44 PM I thought the show on Sunday was great too.
Especially the part where Larry interviewed me. :lmao:
Thanks Larry for the heart attack.
BrucenBruce 10-11-2009, 11:05 PM I haven't listened to the Sunday show yet, but enjoyed the Saturday version. It's pretty cool to get that "middle of the action" feeling over the headphones!
Thanks for doing it, guys!

Larry 10-12-2009, 12:06 AM I'll shed some light on a few of the factors that were working against us well BT in particular. Take these factors into account and add exhaustion and illness on that of it.
There were several factors at play that the listeners has no idea were going on. The layout and venue of the convention center, although is was definitely first class it wasn't the greatest as far as us doing our live broadcast.
In Daytona we had several things working in our favor. One being from the command center aka the Reptile Radio table, BT and myself were able to have visual contact pretty much anywhere I went while doing interviews, we were confirming a sound connection through hand signals. All because our table was positioned on the second floor over looking the whole expo.
At Tinley Park we were not able to do that, which make things really difficult working with such a poor internet connection.
Another thing that made things difficult was having BT posted up behind the booth right out in the open while we were on air. People that passed by the table had no clue BT was live so naturally he was engaged in conversations by people passing by the booth that were interested in the program. What we could have done, was had some sort of "On Air" sign so people would know..:dunno:
In Daytona that wasn't an issue because our booth was tucked away and we didn't have a consent flow of traffic by the table like at Tinley Park.
Another thing is our microphone tapped out during the first few minutes of the first segment. That caused even more issues because I had to relay on my headset to do interviews. With the headset on BT and I did have problems hearing each other, especially when I went towards the far side of the building, top that off with not being able to see each other to communicate with hand signals and you could imagine the confusion.
About BT's passion for the show, that really doesn't warrant a response but I'll bite. Check the archives, he's never missed a signal show, he's never been late. I've missed two. Why would he shell out thousands of dollars of his own personal money to do it, if he wasn't passionate? He has a well paying career, he doesn't need the notoriety to sell his 20 or so clutches of eggs.
We aren't professional radio host, we do the best we can with what time and resources we have available to us. Another huge point that is missing is BT and I didn't make Reptile Radio popular, if it were just us, it would have tanked a long time ago, it's the guest that donate their time to give a little something back, all the while sharing their passion.
Do we want to make it better? Of course we do, and we don't mind criticism here on the BLBC or via private email. Sorry about not answering the voice mail, we ditched the hotline pretty quick so your message was most likely left after we abandoned it. If you ever need to contact either one of us send us an email to reptileradio@inbox.com
Thanks

SnakeTrail 10-12-2009, 07:57 AM I'm tired so I'll try not to ramble...

Don't let him get ya down bro, as someone who also works off shifts, I know how hard it is to get back to the hours of the living... it's hard to be energetic when your getting your sleep 4 hours here or 6 hours there, or my favorite is the "8 straight nap" when everyone else is up & at it & a few hours after you get up they are ready to go to bed....
My wife use to be pissed at me all the time for my weekend sleep habits until this past July when she started working off shifts herself, she told a friend of mine that maybe she had been too hard on me now that she understands what I go through (of course she has never told me this..lol).....She's still normally pissed at me but now it's for other things...:dunno:
TnT Reptiles 10-12-2009, 12:47 PM I really don't get this thread. :dunno:
Here we have a couple of guys who take the time out of their busy lives to provide us with FREE entertainment and knowledge multiple times every week and you still have to bitch.
I don't know how Larry and B.T do it. Between working , raising a family , breeding snakes and rodents , running a forum and doing the radio show on top of it all. It's actually amazing that the show is as good as it is with them being so busy.
I am very grateful that these 2 gentleman provide us with this place ( which I call home ) along with Reptile Radio. So Larry and B.T , don't let it get you down. There are many of us who REALLY appreciate all your hard work and commitment to this hobby and look forward to more great shows in the future. Also it's not just the great guests that make the show as the quick blasts and shows with just the 2 of you are some of my favorites.
Thanks again Larry and B.T for all you do for this great hobby!!

Great post! Keep up the good work guys, we appreciate it!:yessir:
Mrs TnT Reptiles 10-12-2009, 01:06 PM I have to agree with Trevor. I listen every Saturday and to every quick blast and always laugh somewhere along the way. I figure if these guys can make me smile and laugh via the internet then their doing something right. BT may be a little quieter during the shows than Larry, but without both their personalities this show would be dull and boring.
Obviously, based upon the ratings, the quick blasts hold the audiences attention and have surpassed shows where the "great guests" are premiered.
The thing I like about this forum and the radio show, is that here are a couple guys having a great time discussing their favorite pastime like the rest of us do in our snake rooms with our friends. The only difference is that their live on the air, letting the rest of us share in their excitement. If you could hear and see yourselves, how excited you get when talking reptiles with your friends, you'd probably sound the same.
Thanks Larry and BT for keeping us all informed on past. present and future happenings in the reptile industry.
Wild Bill 10-12-2009, 02:13 PM They way Larry and BT interact with each other is what makes the show work. Any other combination of personalities and you would have a show of people trying to talk over each other. This show works and is popular the way it is, why try to change anything? :dunno:
As far as technical difficulties, nothing they can do about it. This show is on the fly, they won't no about them until the show starts. There is no way to test anything the way the show is setup. I think they handle it very well.
Keep rocking it Larry and BT. :yessir:
rjs73 10-12-2009, 02:48 PM I think Larry and BT do a fine job together. I think if they both had the same personalities the show would not be as good.
I for one am very grateful for all the useful info and entertainment they provide me twice a week. Don't change a thing guys you are doing a terrific job. Thanks and keep it up.
Mrs. Norsmis 10-12-2009, 02:50 PM I have to agree with Trevor. I listen every Saturday and to every quick blast and always laugh somewhere along the way. I agree with everyone. I am on the quiet side like BT and it is unfortunate that people "judge" quiet people. All I can say is the individuals who put so much time and energy into judging others often have their own insecurities and have to put others down to make themselves feel better. So I must ask, what really is bothering you??? It is unfortunate that so much time and energy is spent on judging other people. Life is too short......
With that being said, I have to comment on what an awesome radio show BT and Larry have. I have never met such a great group of individuals (and I have met many people in my life!) This was the first time in a long time I felt accepted by everyone I came in contact with at Tinley. I now understand why my husband spends so much time on the forum with all of you! You have put a smile on my face. Thank you BT and Larry for everything!!! Keep up the great work and never lose faith!!
constrictorkeeper 10-12-2009, 03:00 PM Just kidding BT. Dont drop the ban hammer on me!
now now nors...
you know the ban hammer has a rope on it like prison soap, can't drop it if you try.
I guess I can just go back to being a clone.
try going back to being a "lone" instead.
don't need anybody on here begging to get "pinked".
being the only member on here to have been blessed with the opportunity to share a mike with BT for a half show, i'll offer some perspective. BT is not being carried by anybody. he's more than capable of doing the show alone if he had to, and he proved that to me during the craig stewart show i helped out with.
as we all know, technology has the uncanny ability to mysteriously fail when it's needed most. such was the case when i called in to help out with the show.
i had everything all ready.
had two computers set up with multiple windows open (that would be relevant to the show), listened to the show live right up to where i had to call in so i could be on topic, and did as much research as i could into the material that would be featured on the program as i could ahead of time.
i felt as prepared as a handsome john with a pound of fifty's in one hand, a box of banana flavored prophylactics in the other, and a limo ride to the pink pussycat ranch.
called in, exchanged pleasantries, got into the grove, and it happened...
cable went out, phone is out too (provided by the cable company), and i didn't write down the call-in number so i could pop back on with the cell (cause it was right there on the screen before...).
now i'm screwed, panting like a homecoming queen with a new zit on the tip of her nose the morning of the big parade.
i admit that not knowing what i was missing on the show, while frantically trying to re-boot everything, created more than just a small bit of anxiety for me. not "first kiss" type anxiety, more like letting down your buds type anxiety (the knowledge of which requires actually being the type of person that can be counted on to not do such a thing...).
minutes seem like hours.
within ten of those hour long minutes i get back on.
BT is the only person who knows i dropped off, BT is the only person who knows i'm back on, BT handles the whole the episode as cool as a cryo-cucumber at the playboy mansion.
flawless.
i've always felt that true tests of character evolve during times of chaos.
while not quite a natural disaster in magnitude, the unstable nature of BT's co-host's connection had zero impact on the high level of quality we expect and get from every show.
your $.02 may have been an "opinion" but it was encased in a 200mm shell.
if you didn't smell the noxious stench of your delivery, go see a specialist.
now apologize for your ill-thought out transgression afore thou dost get pinked (if it hasn't already happened whilst i was distilling this tome onto my keyboard.).

Hey CK!! You made it home safe. How was the drive????? Did you enjoy the Illinois roads as much as Scott did?? I must say I was a really awesome wife today!!! On my day off, I put towels in the washing machine from our snake room and a roach crawled out of the washing machine! So, whose idea was it to feed the gecko's roaches???? I think I am ready to go back to crickets!

It was for my birthday My wife said buy something you like. Bt and I corresponded in several pms. I was looking for rat feeders. He fed mice. He tried all the snakes and made sure they were rat feeders shipping was easy. I have never been so happy with a transaction. . I have dealt with alot of people in this industry and have had few go out of the way to make a sale. I am sure he could have spent the time hanging with the wife and kids. I work two jobs and get frustrated with the emails and such not so with Bt. And I feel the same way about this forum they are family. I might not know them by face. But I am happy here. Maybe this is just not the forum where you will be happiest. But for me I have found my home.

Well said man!!! I think we have all had experience with other forums and some are better than others, but this is the only place that has a bond of brotherhood at the back bone of it. That is why I like it here, we may not agree on every issue, but we are like minded in the respect that we have for each other. That is why people who try to piss in our pool are called out because without a certain amount of trust this forum wouldn't be as great as it is.
Does BT need us all to stand up for him? Nope! But is it our natural instinct to come to the defense of someone that along with Larry helped create a place that we all call home? Yup!
Personally I enjoyed having a peek into the tinley show from here in Florida thanks to the work of Larry and BT. Heck I am already looking forward to Daytona since I need to have a "conversation" with the Chondro Coalition guys about their comment that unless a chondro comes with a 20 page lineage sheet it is basically junk......snobs.......Grrrr!!!

JOHNS6068 10-12-2009, 11:05 PM I agree with everyone.
Couldn't agree more :cheers::cheers:
Eric Burke 10-12-2009, 11:10 PM I really don't get this thread.
I agree 110%
You guys are great. I personally look forward to the show every week.
Thanks guys!
keep up the good work

Maybe you guys won't mind if I 'jack this thread lol! I was at TP and I knew Larry and BT were going to be doing a live show - I thought I checked out every single table, but I never saw the ReptileRadio table - where was it? I was really hoping to meet you guys!

It was waaaaay on the left wall when you walked in, about halfway down the isle.
Not much to say from me.........other then to re-hash what has already been said in BT's defense. So I'll keep it short.
Larry,BT,Reptile Radio,BLBC,etc.....has improved the quality of my reptile keeping endeavors. How much can you really get for free these days? I have a whole IPOD loaded up with two years of entertainment and information that I listen to every day. You won't hear one complaint from me. :rebel:

Passing the RR table without seeing it was impossible with ck on duty :yessir:
Kerig3 11-07-2009, 05:48 AM Passing the RR table without seeing it was impossible with ck on duty :yessir:
I missed the RR table also, but now I know what happened after piecing it all together.
On Saturday I went down that last aisle but at the beginning of that aisle was a table selling turtles and torts and I started talking to a girl that was going to buy a Leopard Tort and I shared my experiences with her. When I finished my wife was already halfway down the aisle and I even blew past EBN to catch up with her. When we got to the end we were going to go down the other side of the aisle (against the wall) but we both needed a potty break and I needed a smoke by then, LOL. When we came back into the building we forgot about that last aisle and started on the other side of the show.
On Sunday we didn't get there until 12:30pm and by the time we got back to that last aisle Larry and BT already took off and the table was empty (I do remember a few more empty tables on Sunday).
So that's how I missed you all! Guess I'll have to try again in 2010? The problem was that the RR table wasn't listed on the program map, but then their were others that weren't listed either. :dunno:
As for the Live shows, both Larry and BT were just fine considering the obstacles that the guys were dealing with. It was hard enough for me getting around without trying to conduct a radio program, that show was packed! And their response to the OP's complaint was way more respectable than I would have handled it. Good job guys!

From the front door, they were all the way to the left in the last isle. Then they were located 1/2 way down on the left side.

ScubaTim 11-07-2009, 11:39 AM It gets very annoying listening to the show when BT has totally checked out.
Tommy
This is what happens when a tool gets bored! I'm willing to bet this guy posts like this on other forums as well. FLAMER!!! I vote to lock this post!
