Finally took a couple shots at the Dumeril's I got from Frank Roberts last year. This guy wants to eat everything in sight, and is a sweetheart! Not to mention, he's got some of the nicest color I've seen. Enjoy!

The parents are pretty old, and the female had retained ova when Frank got her...took quite a while for her to pass everything. I'm sure he could offer more insight to that, though. Mike I obtained the pair when NY banned them, I tried to buy the pair (as adult breeders) in the early 90's but my wife (ex now) would not let me spend the money. She was supposedly gravid at the time of purchase but was actually full of slugs, she passed a few and retained many. It took her several years to pass the rest and then I felt she could be successfully bred. One of the first purchases I made after my divorce and really didn't care if they ever bred. They are 20 years old this year and actually just copulated last night for several hours. They show no signs of old age and actually have grown almost a foot each since I have acquired them. Quig 11-14-2009, 03:23 PM I've always liked the whacky patterns on Dumes. Don't know WHY I don't have any yet :dunno:. Great shots. Quig they are stunning animals and I still have several from that breeding because I REFUSE to lower my price below 100 dollars. The are very cryptic as neonates and my male at 20 years old still has pink in his coloration. They are soooo laid back and a pleasure to work with. Almost all of the babies where high pink. She had 14 live and one still that litter. you have to get at least one!!!! Ok 2 LOL!!! Sara 11-14-2009, 04:39 PM Beautiful Dum!
