I've heard cigar enthusiast referred to as Gorillas in the past. I still haven’t figured out why but it is kind of catchy. lol

Anyway for awhile there I was trying to burn a few a week but that gets costly really quick. I really like Cohiba, Monte Cristo and Punch. Punch is a nice smooth cheaper cigar..

I'm a Marlboro red enthusiast.

All over the whiskey part and I don't mind a good cigar but just don't know enough about them to be considered a gorilla.

I'm a fan of the Punch, Monte Cristos, Hemmingways and CAO's in general, specifically the Brazillian.

When I was active duty , I spent a lot , I mean A LOT , of time at NTC in Ft. Irwin CA. My roommate and I had a tradition everytime we came out of the manuver box. We'd walk all the way across base to get to the only shopette still open , buy a pack each of the cheapest cigars and spend the entire next day smoking everybody out of the area.

Doubt it could be considered Gorilla style but it was fun.

I know this is an old thread, but was just looking around and came across it. I would have to say I (Jim, not Carol lol) am becoming a gorilla (whatever that actually means). I have really begun to enjoy sitting on the patio smoking a nice cigar sipping a nice single malt scotch or irish whiskey. Most of the cigars I smoke are the JR Cigar versions of more expensive brands. Recently, I have had a Los Blancos that wasn't bad and a really nice Rocky Patel. I have a Cohiba that I haven't tried yet, but if it is anything like the Cohiba my friend was smoking the other night, while I smoked a cheap promotional cigar, I am sure it will be good.
