euphuistical 11-04-2009, 12:33 AM Thanks, I sure will. Ya I got that feeling also as she's taking down weaned rats at a month old.
Holy crap! That is pretty damn impressive.
jayefbe 11-04-2009, 01:44 AM I definitely want a green conda one of these days, but I think I'll start off with a male. Keep posting pics of her, I wanna see how quickly she outgrows every cage you've got.
147BOAS 11-04-2009, 01:47 AM congrats wow she is sweet
Very nice additions. The ones at Tinley we saw were beautiful!
Mrs. Sputnik 11-04-2009, 10:15 AM Congrats on the newbie
FRoberts 11-04-2009, 02:50 PM Congrats on the new conda, true captive bred specimens are rare and I bet that new arrival has a even temperament as compared to typical imported neonates. Ben is IMO making a breakthrough and offering captive bred tractable neonates from tractable parents, like the tractable retics that are currently on the market as compared to the ones that where wild caught in the 80's.
Good luck with her.
MikeCurtin 11-04-2009, 04:02 PM Congrats, and good luck!
The Tortoise Farm 11-04-2009, 07:31 PM Thanks everyone, I will make sure to post updated pics of her and her sister. Frank you are 100% right, Ben is really making a difference in the anaconda world and retics for that matter. Her temperment is outstanding, being cb is the key.
FRoberts 11-04-2009, 07:48 PM and retics for that matter.
I do acknowledge that ben has bred many tame retics, but the tamer ones where around and in the captive gene pool already, he is one of the limited few who is introducing captive bred greens in the captive gene pool.
I mean no disrespect as I like ben a lot.
It's all compliments I assure you.
Hopefully the law makers will let the work continue!!!
The Tortoise Farm 11-04-2009, 11:44 PM I hear ya, there were cb tame retics already around. Lets just hope we still have the rights to own these animals. Thanks for the post Frank.
papaK 11-05-2009, 08:22 PM That is awesome Chad... anacondas are no joke. I want to see an update on Ben's albino!

ThunderPaws 11-10-2009, 07:31 PM Hi,
That is a gorgeous snake. The first python I ever bought was a Burmese, I bought him in 1982. When did Anacondas start becoming availbale to herpers? I just love the big snakes. I think anyone reading this post is going to want one of those. Just a gorgeous snake. What is not to love....
Bill
LP Reptiles 11-10-2009, 08:24 PM I have had acouple of them, one was a cross..i luved that big thing...lol, waiting for the day when dwarf Anacondas are produced, i hope some day.
The Tortoise Farm 11-11-2009, 01:09 AM Thanks everyone.
Anaconda's have been available for many years, they were mainly wild caught animals. Now in the more recent years there has been captive bred animals available. I really enjoy big snakes especially anacondas and retics, I think this female along with her sister will be the prize of my collection.
