When i was little we would go camping at Bench Lake, it on the Yakama Indian Reservation In WA. The lake was full of newts, we would get so meny, they would fill a 5gal bucket. Went their this summer and i couldn't find one...sad.

That first pic is a scream :D Looked like you were enjoyin' the hell out of it.
Second pic is gorgeous. Have you got any ideas what might have happened to cause the decline?

I think the ecosystem of that lake has been changed by farmed fish and alot of algaes, think i found a non native frog too, they look like pixie frogs and are the size of softballs.

on the net somewhere, someone took a pic from Mt. Adams (the one with snow on it), but cant find it
Gorgeous scenery pic, and what a cute kid pic! And yeah, most places you can't find stuff like you used to... sad.
