It's called being respectful of other cultures.

Claude, a simple nod would have been sufficient and acceptable. I agree our leaders should show proper respect to one another but he just seems to be overly submissive considering his position.

WAY overly submissive... you dont see the other guy's face almost touching the floor do you? I have spent time in Asian countries and can you tell you that Obama bowing his head to the floor is a gesture of submissiveness. You never look a person who is "above" you in the eye, and when you bow you look at the floor. So what it is that telling the world? Our president is a wuss......

That's his "Please give us money, as we're spending ourselves into oblivion" pose.

Gentlemen and ladies,

You are all respectfully wrong. It is clear to me he was just trying to be at the same eye level while chatting with him. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Wouldn't show the Queen of England any respect and this is what we get out of him in other countries, not the first time he has been overly submissive with other leaders...complete bs.

LOL don't we have more pressing concerns than worrying if our president is bowing too low?

President Richard M. Nixon bowing to Emperor Hirohito.
Didn't he blind side us at Pearl Harbor. How many Americans did he kill.
This picture wasn't taken in Japan. But in the USA .

ANd as if I have to point it out, neither one of these PResidents are bending over kissing the guys feet. Obama might as well be giving the guy a shoe shine.
Again, I spent 3 years in Asian countries; 2 in Korea and 1 in Japan. Slight body language, such as looking at the floor and bowing lower than the "supreme" being, is what is expected from someone who us subservient to you.
You people can bury your heads in the sand if you want and pretend Obama is the best thing since sliced bread but I am telling you, he is gonna be the beginning of the downfall of this country..... When you are all speaking Arabic, dont say I didnt warn you!!!!!!

China just warned us (Obama) about our spending. The CBO chair (think Congress' accountant) has just told us that we are on an unsustainable path. Yes, it may seem petty to bitch about his bowing, but I feel it's just a small part of a bigger picture.

Do you people not realize the President is the leader of this country? He is what the rest of the world judges us by. If you dont think so, you need to travel more. In fact, go to your nearest recruiter and sign up. Go to different countries and see what people think of us, especially while in uniform. I have been there and done it. The world judges this country by its leaders like it nor not and this guy is showing the world we are ready to bend over and take it from anyone....

How the hell do you get that either of those presidents are BOWING to the other person? It looks to me like Nixon is leaning in to talk to the Emperor and Eisenhower just looks like he dropped something

There is NO doubt that Obama is BOWING to the prime minister or whatever the hell he is. He won't even look him in the eye. That's an admission of sub-serviance which coming from someone like big O there shouldn't be a surprise. He's embarrassed by America and would like nothing more than to turn us into another communist country.
