Not a joke. Yet another indicator that these politicians think they are above the law.

Well,

When it comes to taxes in my book. If you are not cheating you are not trying. I don't think I know one person that does not cheat somewhere. But then again, all my friends are a bunch of dunken pilots that are really sleepy and love to argue.

OK, as soon as someone gets tired of me saying this, tell me to shut up! The federal income tax was never ratified, and is therefore.....say it with me...unconstitutional!

Well,

Lets just say if I got an IRS audit I would do fine. My idea of what I think cheating is another mans way of saying what I should be entitled to.

Bill, you arent being asked to be in charge of one of the countries financial institutions either. One of us cheating on our taxes, although we shouldnt, is not the same as someone who will be the undersecretary of the Treasury for international affairs.

So let me see if I've got this straight.... I had to pass a credit check to get a job at WALMART which should have shown if I was behind on taxes, but this bimbo gets a job in the freakin Treasury Department while she's behind on her taxes???? How the hell does that work?

I bet you could have skipped the credit check if you know the CEO of Walmart.:dunno: This "bimbo" knows a whole bunch of people!

You should look in to it. Just view it as getting robbed by a guy on the street. If you have wallet with only $200 in it but have a knot in your shoe with $1000 in it, would you be honest and say "oh hold on one second, I got more money you can steal from me."

Its the same reason I bring cash to buy snakes at reptile shows. You get a much better price if you pay cash, and you get one guess why :rebel:

Two guesses...the other being that credit card companies are robbing the merchants too! I know...I have a merchant account but cringe every time I run a customer's CC...well, that's going to take at least 5% of my sale!

Yup!!! Not only do they charge a percentage of the sale, they charge just to swipe a card! And on top of that, (For the people that LOVE their "rewards" cards) they charge the person running that card for YOUR reward!!! So, if you have one of those, use it at big box stores only please!

Most taxes are unconstitutional, the constitution calls for two kinds of taxes, proportioned and unaportioned. Yet no law that states I am required to pay an unaportioned tax on my personal property...I.E. Income taxes...

A tax "is not a voluntary payment or donation, but an enforced contribution, exacted pursuant to legislative authority" and is "any contribution imposed by government […] whether under the name of toll, tribute, tallage, gabel, impost, duty, custom, excise, subsidy, aid, supply, or other name."

Funny how the people writing laws, break them daily...

Cash is freaking awesome, theres more than a few reasons to use just cash, Taxes, better deals, untraceable, etc. Were slowly moving towards a cashless society, everyone loves there credit cards..

Very true. Not even counting the fact that the very concept of taxation is immoral.

There's nothing to look into...Cheating is cheating - Lying is lying...I'm neither a cheat nor a liar...I don't work for money under the table so Uncle Sam alredy knows exactly how much money I made -

Oh yeah, I totally get that view, but in my perspective stealing is stealing and taxes are most certainly stealing, so if I can find a loophole or workaround to avoid paying them (say by just taking cash for a snake or say not reporting poker winnings under 10[over 10k they make you fill out a form at my old casino, blech!] I am all for it]. I don't subscribe to the idea that just because something is a law makes it right (that would be logical or legal positivism or something, its been too long since I've had a formal discussion regarding political philosophy).

I just don't think avoiding taxes makes you a cheat or a liar, no more than avoiding a robbery or a mugging makes you a cheat or a liar.

But I totally get that view and think it is totally valid, but I think they both have their merits. But as I've said before, I am a crazy anarcho-capitalist (and I would only use those loop holes when they only affect me, in any business arrangement I've made sure all parties are on the same page, so if say I was in business with someone who felt differently from me I would go with the flow). But if its just my ass on the line I will do everything possible to avoid the state from jacking me.

Hahaha! That is so cute. Screw a job, I am just going to out and tax people with a gun. Any time you are coerced in to doing something that sorta nullifies any cogent argument claiming it to be voluntary.

Oh man, that movie makes me hate politicians even more. How can they distort a word so brutally and not be charged with battery?
