Went to Jasper Pulaski -- a nice Wildlife/Nature Preserve. Each year the Sand Hill Cranes come through in the Spring and Fall as they migrate. Jeff took some shots today and thought I'd share them with you.

It is really amazing. We saw a few this Spring and decided to try again this morning. Was worth the trip. Kids really liked it as well.

Thanks everyone for the kind words....it is really cool to see and really loud with all the noise they make...

Jen I just like to play with the camera....that and this set up looks to heavy to be dragging around, couldn't even imagine where to start with a set up like this one....

I don't know this guy but I am very jealous, I was looking through the view window on the back of the camera and I was in awe!

That is the ultimate on lenses on top of lenses. :rockon: Told Jeff that lens would need it's own room it's so big.

Really it just makes it easier overall...no waiting for the subject to fly overhead for decent pics...:cheers:

Great pics! That first one made me want to duck, auto reaction as we have the geese flying over us... poo in hair if your not careful!

great shots, really love the first one's in flight. And that guy does have a big camera, my back hurts just imaging lugging that around.
