Really Frank? Do we all have to stop and say what we are doing? Is it possible for us to write, call, and/or donate without announcing it? Is that okay with you? My post was an attempt to reach out to any BLBC procrastinators (aka slackers) that have not donated and or have not done anything. I am more then sure when I posted that 46/63 views and no posts that many of the viewers have not joined the fight. My post was a "calling to arms" not intended for Sara whom I truly believe is a true bush leaguer and done more then most of us in this initiative!!

On this I would hardly put myself above ANYBODY else here. I may do more than some, less than others. However I disagreed with the way that you were voicing it. Put it this way, there is a difference between somebody standing in front of a store by a red kettle ringing a bell, and somebody cracking the bell upside your head. It is always a personal choice whether you put money in that kettle or not, but you are going to get more nicely asking than you are yelling at people to... I did not mean to jump down your throat at all Frank, however when people start getting from helpers to fanatics it doesn't help the cause. I don't appreciate anybody that gets off-putting on something that I also feel strongly about, that hurts everybody. And your response to me I felt was completely unwarranted and unacceptable. For those keeping track...I just finished my calls today to all 20 Senators on the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. I also made my calls yesterday and faxed each committee member, along with contacting my own 2 Senators (who are not on the committee themselves). I'm also a current member of both USARK and PIJAC and have helped monetarily beyond membership.

I'm not trying to blow my own horn, I'm just trying to show that there are many of us that are doing our part.

Personally I'm not worried about the BLBC members doing their part...they are extreme advocates for these legislative battles! Rarely does a Reptile Radio show go by that these bills aren't mentioned, and we're always kept up-to-date via appearances from Andrew Wyatt. Larry and BT are constantly calling the troops to action while providing us with accurate information on the status of these battles! :yessir:

But what really disturbs me is that with this most recent call-in campaign, along with the one a few weeks ago for HR2811, there seems to be many (not all) big breeders that are not taking the time to spread the word about these battles. Not even a mention on their websites? Or even a mention on their blogs? Where are their USARK banners? It's just maddening to me!!! Yet they have much, much more to lose than I do with these bills. Personally I feel like I'm using my time and efforts to defend their livelihoods, so why aren't they stepping up to the plate? :mad:

I have copies of the letters at the local pet store and they have people sign them and give them to me to fax in. So try being CONSTRUCTIVE instead of DESTRUCTIVE.........

I understand you want everyone to do there part, I really do.

But, you know the old saying, "you attract more flies with honey than you do vinegar". Rally the troops with inspiration, not degradation. Give them ideas on how to do even more to help, show them how you go out and inspire others. I think that will work a lot better.....:yessir:
