I agree conservation is VERY important and I would love nothing more than to give a chonkey who thinks rubbing “rino horn” in his willy will make him hard like bull the biggest “klapping” (Means to beat somebody up) of his life…but a hippy is hardly the best guy to deliver that…

As a interesting side note, you all know Nelson Mandela right, well the prison he was housed in is on a island (not unlike The Rock) say 2-3 miles from Cape Town here in SA. Well there is a growing pop of European rabbits on this island and they are totally destroying the island, buildings, natural plant and animal life. So what do you do, simple, you get some big as guns and blast them to bits right, this is Africa after all…well that was the plan, until the SA branch of PETA said that that is Genocide and that the animals need to be represented as they have the right to life….
Well hundreds of thousands down the line in legal battles, the hippies lost, the bunnies got the Shiite blown out of them and the island can begin to repair itself…these people are dumber then chromed crap…

Nice Beast! I have watched it and agree it is pretty lame but two things I have figured out! One, why do the Japanese still feel the need to kill whales for research or do they think we are that stupid? Two, Potsy the cook is a dead ringer for Tom Baker... :)

They boarded without permission, and that equals being a pirate. The japanese should have shot them and tossed the bodies. When they throw explosives, and acid at the crew.. onto the ship.. try to foul the prop.. then have the balls to say that the japanese kidnapped and hold hostage two of their crew who BOARDED without permission??? From what I understand the whale hunting is sustainable on a small scale. I find it hypocritical of these guys to try to tell the Japanese not to hunt a particular species just because the hippies like them.

You're comparing apples to oranges, theirs a difference keeping/owning animals than taking them from the wild, slaughtering them just because you can make a buck off of it's meat. you should be more realistic imo. fish lay hundreds of eggs at a time, and most rivers/lakes are over populated with them. Hunting, for the most part.. most animals that are hunted are very populated or over populated due to breeding cycles being rather quickly. whales "most" have one offspring every 3 to 5 years due to their size. kill 3 and it takes 9 to 15 years to get them replaced. it's not tree huggers, it's science and scientific studys. so we can just agree to dissagree on this matter. you think it its cool to slaughter whales because they look like they taste good... and i think its cool to slaughter poachers because it would be fun =)

That's where you're wrong my friend, it's not that we all are taught killing whales is bad, it's because some people do have emotions/feelings. the japanese/chinese have been caught many of times poaching and killing whales that are either extinct or at the brink of extinction. if you watch the show on a regular basis, you will see some of the whales they harpoon are not allowed to be hunted, yet they kill them and load them on the boats any way.

The small number of other whale species harvested still seems insignificant when compared to their entire populations. I know Japan allows whales caught in nets to be sold on the market and China probably has similar laws.

Humans have been hunting whales for over 8000 years. My only point to all this is a certain amount of hunting is sustainable. The amount of whales killed today is insignificant compared to what we did during the 1800's.

Your right we can agree to disagree. But I stand firm on my belief that this is a right of theirs to hunt these whales. I think a watchfull eye should always be close by.

People just get too emotional with the whale issue. Look at fish populations around the globe. That's a crisis, especially blue fin tuna. What are we gonna do when the worlds population doubles. I think the whale issue is small and fueled by emotion because these animals are considered by many to be intelligent.
