I think we need to start prepping in case this makes it to a full vote. Start drawing up letters to your State reps. Take them to local pet shops and leave copies to have people sign. Get as many letters signed as you can against this legislation and prepare to fax them to your State reps. So start organizing people in your state now!!!!

I dont think thats going to work anymore Bill. i honestly think if we have any hope of defeating this we are all going to have to start bombarding the white house with calls, letters and protest.

What do you mean, won't work????? So don't try??? It has to pass a majority vote to get passed, that's our best shot to get it shut down. We need to get everyone on board to save our rights, this isn't something we can hope the President will fix. WE have to fight every battle and not just hope on one......:dunno:

Plus what do you mean anymore? We haven't had this go to a full vote yet, so we haven't even tried this yet. We have been bugging the committee not the whole Senate, you know how many things go to a vote that get shot down? WE CAN do this!!!! :rockon:

No, i wasnt saying give up lol. i mean... we need to get serious and basically start pulling out all possibilities. the reason i say this is because......... the biggest majority of voters on this bill are democrats and who have the majority of senate? the dems and it doesnt look liek any of them care what the people feel or think. so we broaden our fight by even taking it to the white house.

I just don't want people to count on the President to shoot this down. I don't care how many dems are in the senate. They don't vote for stuff just because they are dems, if that was the case why contact the President? If everyone tries to persuade their Reps we can have a chance. Get letters signed, spread the word, call every pet store in your phone book. We can do this man......:rockon:

I agree, i think we can do it too.. but i also think it's going to take about every option we can think of to get it done.
