Round these parts he's called Flat Stanley -- and yeah I've done them with the snakes for my kids and some for other peoples kids as well. It's a wonderful project. Will see if I can dig out some of the pictures.

yes we did the flat stanley and he went all the way to iraq and back. some good pics he took then.

I know around here it's Flat Stanley, I don't remember if I ever did that in Elementary School...but I know it's been done FOREVER here.

Its a series of books about a kid named Stanley who is flat. My kids always bring a Flat Stanley home to take pictures of him when we go places.....

Never had to do that with my kids but the youngest is 16 now so I dont think I will be running into it anytime soon.......
