Interesting. Sounds Like Jack may just be worried about himself. Maybe I heard that wrong. Either way he is against the Bill...Good video.

How the hell can you compare the Wolf to Pythons? Does this guy really think they can survive outside of Florida?

hmmmm......interesting. The point that is missed in a lot of these interviews is the fact that the powers that be want to ban more then just a few large pythons. For instance, Boa Constrictor is currently on the bill. This includes ALL subspecies. So even full grown 3 foot Nics would be banned. If Python ever gets put on a bill..........then everything down to Pygmy pythons are done for.

The general public does not see this point. Most of the time, the news outlets only focus on and mention the Burmese python. They do not see the "fine print" of the contract.

I think more violence in Cuban populated areas kill more people than any snake in FL, why dont we write a bill to ban them, or large pharmacutical (sp) companies that kill people with their cialis, and Yaz...should ban them, or even better how about these lawmakers that take away the rights we were promised 222 years ago....we shoudl BAN them!

Thats a horrible video !!! Just more media BS !!

Ive seen many shows with Jack Hanna he dont know anything. I think hes just a manager of a business=a zoo.

Totally correct !! Jack H. is just a person that gets fed information on the animals he displays on TV. He doesn't know squat about most of the animals he takes on these TV shows. I really wish he'd just quit doing them altogether.
And when you're talking about reptiles or about any specific species of animal, talk to someone that knows what the :censor: they're talking about. Not some :asshat: like Hanna. ( I've been waiting to use that one ) :D

I really wish one of these major network TV shows would get Andrew W. on there .. then the public would hear the truth and not some BS that they've been spoon fed.

And like someone else mentioned .. they don't even talk about the fact that this bill wants to ban ALL species of pythons ... what idiots !!! I'd love to walk in to one of those hearings with a fully grown Ball Python wrapped around my neck and ask them .. " Now do you really think this python is capable or has the inclination to kill me ? Don't make the mistake of associating the word 'python ' with oohhh .. big scary, deadly snake, like movies and some :ahole: on TV want you to think. Get the facts :censor: !!!!!
And don't mention the fact that there is a very large responsible group of keepers out there that work with the large constrictors EVERY FREAKIN DAY and nothing bad happens.
OR the fact that those parents who's child was killed .. are totally responsible for that childs death !! Do you keep a loaded handgun in your house where a child can get it ? HELL no !!!
OR mention the fact that USARK is trying to work with the doorknobs that make these types of bills and say " ok .. these Burmese in the Everglades are a problem .. here's how we can fix it ".

It REALLY pisses me off when people like the sponsors of these bills or groups like HSUS want to just totally ban something and take the easy road out rather than use their heads and address the problem.
I guess they haven't heard the old saying that goes something like this -
" The easy road is not always the best road to take .. it can lead to disaster". Theres a reason why sayings like that are old .. cause they've been around a long time and are tried and true !!!!!

heh .. end rant :yessir:

:wyatt: we need to get you on TV man !!! Start preaching the truth !!!

They just through that 2 year old strangling around on every damn news program, scaring the crap out of people, they neglect to mention that was a PET, kept improperly, not a damn wild burm in florida, that could have happened anywhere in the world. Which, from my understanding of this bill, if passed, would not help either situation be it a pet burm or a wild one.

It seems to me all he cares is about are the zoos, not the industry nor the people who love these snakes and that base their lives around them. Hes trying to set a point but in the end he's just being selfish because he's only worried about his occupation.

If Steve was still alive I guarantee you this wouldnt have been happening. He caught everyones attention with how much he loved his reptiles and animals. Knowone understood why, but they still watched. Whenever he spoke they listened. They thought he was nuts, but they paid attention.
Now all these joke animal superstars just sit back not even caring about whats going on.
Jeff Corwin is on my number #1 list of hated zoologists. He got really bored with animal TV so now hes cooking with emerald on the cooking channel.

Scumbags!

I think the next snake bytes is going to feature Jack Hannah I wonder if Brian knew how much of a tool he is?

This also why I lost all respect for Brian. He is wiling to sell out to people like Muff Daddy and the big media types to make his show. I walked right on passed his table at Tinley and will do the same this year. Hannah and the people like him make money because we let them.....

I seem to recall (and I could be way off base here, let me know if I am) that Hanna wrote a book about animals where he said he just plain didn't like snakes.

Did it seem to anyone else that the "news reporter" had an agenda the size of Texas sitting on his shoulder? Talk about asking questions which could only be answered one way!

~Bruce, who did not like this, no, not at all.

Anyone here old enough to remember when Hanna first appeared nationally, on Letterman back in the mid-80s? He was the PeeWee Herman version of a zoo keeper!!! That's the only reason he was on the show so many times.

Man-o-man, that was just a POS story. And old Jack could care less about the reptile trade as long as this doesn't hurt his own business.

Will it affect the 'tourist trade'? Are you f--king kidding me? When visiting FL I'm more concerned about the gators and the venomous snakes...not slow-moving pythons!
