Been wanting one for a while and I found a deal on a brand new one off Craigslist.

Louder than crap and I'm happy as hell:D

I've always worried about what would happen during an outage. Granted it's not a home standby, it'll do for now.

The relief I feel is awesome.

You guys need to get one if you don't already!

Check Craigslist Tama!

My step dad is rather cold hearted and we were talking about them at work today.

He told me that you can get em pretty cheap now since a lot of people were iddiots and bought em for the Y2K scare, haha.

Now they don't need em as much as they thought they did, so their selling em rather cheap.

I got a good deal on this one.

Nice pickup! 5500 watts should be more than enough to heat two rooms and then some. Where are the outlets? I don't even see a panel in the pics. You get 2 or 4 outlets?

The outlets are on the opposite side of the motor on the generator.

They're at the end of the thing that actually makes the power.

There's 2 120v 20A receptacles and 1 locking plug 30A right next to them with push switch circuit breakers.

It came with a Generator cord that is the locking plug type which is 10/3 with 4 outlets on the end of it. That cord is 25ft and gets the power inside the house. Then I just bought 4-50ft extension cords to power up whatever I need.
