I dont have any four leggers (except the dog) anymore but those guys do look cool!
Never had pygmy rocks, but from what I've picked up they are shy like v. tristis and difficult to breed. Care is most likely going to be similar to ackies and other odatria. If my memory serves correct, they are not as social as ackies (might be thinkin storri) or can be more aggressive with cagemates, so be prepared to seperate if needed.
But as with any dwarf monitor, you have to ask yourself two questions-
Raise feeder insects?
Feel like trying?

I would love to try keeping a dwarf monitor(s) (not interested in the big ones anyway). Also, I would have no problem keeping feeder insects, it's others in the family who aren't so fond of them, maybe a little persuading and reassuring would help...
Good post man.

They are pretty mellow really, not nearly as bullish like storri. Just better break out the checkbook and be ready to spend some serious cash.

That is correct about storri. They can be very aggressive between themselves. Not the case with kingorum.

A good $2000-$3000 a piece for Kingorum. Its the smallest of the rock monitors and not common in the states. Behavior wise, they are nothing like storri... you can actually keep a small group together without issues.

Those are very nice looking monitors that hopefully will gain a foothold among hobbyists. That way they can become more available.

they are so fidgety and curious, coolest small monitor for sure...been wanting a few for a long time...wouldn't mind having a Perentie either though, too bad that's out of the realm of possibility.
