Its great that someone knows what I'm talking about.

For those that don't , during promotions etc. either the squad , platoon or company would line up. The receiver would have the rank , pin etc placed on their uniform without the pin locks on and each soldier would walk by and slam the pin into the receiver with either open hands or fists. Painful yes but good fun, except for rank , I've seen rank pins break off into collar bones.

I think it's a great idea! Give that kid an award!

Seriously though thank you BT for the nomination and thanks to everybody for the props. With all the awesome breeders on here its an honor just to be considered. I'm not worthy! :master:

I dont know about this "blood pin" stuff though. Breaking off metal in collar bones? Yikes. You military guys are hardcore. Couldnt I just push a peanut around with my nose or something?

Thank you again. I have so much respect for the work that the folks on this forum have done Im just tickled to be hanging in the same playpen.:yessir:

i don't know man... i mean, i hatched a crestie egg and didn't get no award...
i'll have 'ta get back to you on that...
'sides he did make us all suffer with the whole "countdown to destruction " thing...
i'll think about it...
oh , what the bleep !
give that man a medal, having nothing to do with the fact that he personally rocks, of course.
he's getting a medal for a killer clutch, hard to find a better definition of one that those little buggers.
you know you want one, we all do, that's a killer clutch defined right there !
good luck in your quest V,
ck

Lol yeah I remember that stuff in basic lol. It was the best when we got our rifle range pins, the whole company lined up with the pins in and all the drills got to run down the line and smack in all the pins. That stuff suuuuuuuucked! One of our sargeants got his airborne wings while he was at Benning and we got to get him back lol. He had 200 guys that hated his guts running down smacking that damn pin. They called them bloody wings I think.

there you have it V...
30 vote in favor of monitor stew, now that those cuties are hatched, let's cook 'em up !
congrats bro, you deserve it. of course, if you win too many of these, your breeder status changes to pro, and you'll have to leave these bushy ranks.
kinda bittersweet...
