Obama Uses Teleprompters During Speech To 6th Graders

President Obama uses two teleprompters while speaking to students at a school in Falls Church, Virginia.

You can see the video at http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/01/24/obama_uses_teleprompters_during_speech_to_6th_graders.html ...

I can't believe he has to have teleprompters when giving a spech to 6th graders....

Mr. Obama requires teleprompters during most of his speeches. His pre-presidential experience consisted of precious little interaction with actual people in actual dialogue.

Insulting that he uses them, or insulting that it's been bought to the publics attention? The guy ISN'T presidential material, and he's finding that out himself here of late.

The funny thing is he'll stay on script no matter what..... If the teleprompter tells him to say something he says it! So really when you think about it, the guy running that teleprompter has more power than the president lol.

Well, at least that's one industry he's helped! Let's just hope he doesn't try to nationalize it.

Oh no. You mean the President isn't saying his speeches off the top of his head.
Oh I feel so insulted. Give me a break.
Wake up complainers, Presidents seldom have time to right there own speeches.
But they all read them.
Some of them could barely do that.

Ha I know, I just think that if you really cared about your suporters, (which he doesn't, wish he did though)
you would think you'ed be able to memorize a short speach.
What I'm saying is an occasional peek at the teleprompters fine but when you don't make any eye contact what so ever,
kinda frustrates me.

Yup, you're right. I'd agree completely if it weren't for the fact that he was talking to children!!!! I don't care how smart the kid is, if his speech was long or detailed enough that he needed a teleprompter, they were somewhere else halfway through anyway.

Did anybody watch the clip?
Or read the heading under the clip?
This morning the President and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan paid a visit to Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Virginia. President Obama was addressing pool reporters.

Where are the sixth graders? I know pool reporters are not that smart but they aren't sixth graders. :lmao:

Well that changes everything! I stand corrected.

Pssst....it would still be nice to see him say something instead of reading it. I'm sure I wouldn't change my mind on his policies, but I may change my mind about his image.

The feeling is mutual. I would like to point out that I'm sure many who oppose my views sometimes mistake my passion for my position as hatred for theirs. I have been guilty of doing the same.

The only way we can acheive true change in this nation is if we, as a people, start engaging in meaningful dialogue to find common ground.
