Im still trying to learn alot of the genetics... and to some this may seem like a dumb question... but Im gonna ask it just the same.

What is the difference between Ivory and a Lucy? They are both white snakes... but there must be some type of difference.

Well.. the quality for one. Luetistics are very pure white. Ivorys are hinted with colored pattern. Ivorys are yellowbelly x yellowbelly.. while lucys are lesser x lesser(or fire x fire, or mojave x mojave).
I hope this helped, that's about as far as I can go.

The Ivory is the super form of the yellowbelly produced by Breeding a Yellowbelly to a Yellowbelly.

There are several differen't ways to making a Lucy...

Black eyed lucy's are created by breeding a Fire x Fire and the lesser pied is an all white animal with black eyes as well...

as for the blue eyed lucy's those can be produced by breeding;

Mojave x Mojace
Lesser x Lesser
Butter x Butter
Phantom x Lesser
Mojave x Lesser
Het Russo x Het Russo
Mocha x Mocha

so on and so on... most of which are compatible with the other in making a lucy and some will argue which one makes the cleaner whiter snake....

Ivory's are a Black eyed, white but often lavenderish colored animal with a grey patch of blushing on top of the head...

The Super mojave is a blue eyed white animal with a greyish patch of blushing on it's head.

The super Fire or Black eyed lucy is all white but occasionally has yellow patches on it...

Im trying to plan for next years project.... I really love the Blue-eyes

Yes...

The mojave is Co-dominant... with the BEL being the super form when two are bred together.

Mojave x normal = 50% of the babies should be mojave and 50% normal

Mojave x Mojave = 50% should be Mojave, 25% BEL and 25% normal

Theoretically that's how it should pan out... But you could end up with more or none...

I would imagine between $600-$1000 you should be able to buy the ingredients to produce a super mojave, lesser or butter... Not sure on the Het Russo's though but I believe he has some on Kingsnake for sale..

I also haven't been paying attention to prices lately so don't qoute me...

Umm... that could be debateble I guess....

Honestly I think the super lessers/butters, Latte and Russo are all pretty damn white.... as to which one is the brightest I think they are all about the same...

The Super Mojave is very white as well... it just has that grey patch of blushing on top of it's head but I personally like it since it adds something to the animal rather than just being bland and all white... that's just my opinion though... You may prefer the all white head and body.

So far most are compatible...

I'm the other way around, when it comes to Cornsnakes and other Colubrids I'm lossed!! They look cool though! :)

Ive been breeding corns.. and have done alot of studying in reguards to them... however I suck when it comes to breeding BP's... haven't succeeded yet... but I think I know where my troubles lie... its just gonna take me a while to build a dedicated rack for my BP's so I can correctly adjust temps with a nighttime drop.

I may have to try my hand at a Mojave x Mojave.... now to locate the funds... then find someone that sells quality animals

In my opinion, the super lesser (lesser x lesser) is the whitest BEL. It is completely white with amazing blue eyes.

I like the Lessers version of a BEL best, as far as the whitest. But I love the variety of combos that a mojave can make, in additon to a darned good BEL too.
Thanks guys! I knew I was missing several things, but I couldn't think of what.
I didn't know about the mochas either.

The super Lesser is basically the same thing as the super butter I posted earlier in the thread...

IMO the lesser and butter are essentially the same thing with a differen't name... I've seen lessers that look like butters and vice versa...

I have trouble telling what is a butter and what is a lesser. What are the characteristics that make them different? Or mybe my eyes arent what they used to be.
