View Full Version : Baby Girl
rabernet 11-21-2008, 09:34 PM I know that pastels are considered a very basic morph these days, but I can't help but get excited over this girl each time she sheds. She had her fourth shed today and I can't wait to see how she matures into an adult.
I really need to get some natural light photos to really show her off, because I really can't capture just how clean and pale her yellow is. I love selective breeding! :)
These are probably the closest I can get to her true colors:

Thank you Larry - I've got two years to figure out what to plug her into - seriously considering going for supers with her!

Thank you Tama! I get so happy when I see her - and each time she sheds she just gets better!
She is one fine looking pastel
Thank you!
Looking a lot more yellow than they did a while back.
Thanks Diana! I'd been warned that lemons go through an "ugly duckling" stage as hatchlings, but I had high hopes with her light head that she's develop into a swan! I know Kevin doesn't even post lemons for sale until after their fifth sheds because of that "ugly duckling" stage.
rabernet 11-22-2008, 09:03 AM Absolutely beautiful, me.... I just can't get enough female pastels!
Great looking shots too....
Thanks Scott! I really need to get a proper light set-up!

LOL Bryon! You're close enough that you could!

Thanks Jeff!
Very nice pastel! Looks like a super.
Thanks! She's "just" a pastel - her father is pretty smoking too, and I've been asked if he's a super (he's not).
Very pretty girl. I hope she holds her colors for ya. Pastels have become less expensive of late but there is so much you can do with them. They combine so well with so many other morphs. Good luck with her.

Steven_Kelley 11-22-2008, 09:33 AM Nice pastel

Thanks! Her dad has held his colors very well at 2 1/2 years old - and I think she's nicer than him.
Nice pastel
Thanks Steven!
FloridaHogs 11-22-2008, 04:56 PM She is a beauty for sure!
anendeloflorien 11-22-2008, 05:07 PM Wow! You sure she's not a super? Those are some fantasic colors and I love all that purpleish blushing she has! I'll never think of pastels as a "cheap" morph, the combos they can produce are out of this world and the pastels themselves (for the most part) are some of the best looking BPs IMO.
rabernet 11-22-2008, 05:36 PM She is a beauty for sure!
Thank you!

Yup - I'm sure she's not a super! This is her sire (he's not a super either):
