Good looking snake! It still amazes me when I see burms in action;sometimes they don't even look like they're trying and the next thing you know-it's dinnertime

Cool video.

I used to have burms. And while I dont miss the clean up I admit to missing the rabbit feeders. Their aggressive powerful strikes are just awesome to watch.

He's nice light color and looks in top notch condition.

Browsed around a bit and even got to see a nile monitor.

He's gonna be a big boy. How's his temperment? Typical nile?

Yea, she's your typical demon. She (don't actually know the sex) is actually about 7 or 8 years old. Would you think it's a female? Just small? Or maybe both?

Well females dont get nearly as big as the males thats true. I couldnt really tell her size by the video. But if shes 7-8 years old she should be a decent size. At least 4-5' nose to tail. Anything under 4' would be considered kinda small. 4-5 would be about average and 6 would be a pretty big female. If she's much smaller than that might wanna look into it. She looks good from what I could see but if shes 7 years old and only 2' lets say may want to up the rations.

If she's that old you should be able to tell the sex. Large monitors like niles have noticeable hemipenal bulges around their tail. It looks like two batteries under the skin. Males also have larger heads and broader necks. But that can be hard to distinguish unles you're looking at a group.

Another trick is males will sometimes evert their hemipenes and drag it around the cage to mark territory. If you've had this animal for many years and never saw that good chance its a female.
