Well if you've got the change I'd say go for the ARS, I've never heard anything bad about their racks. Although the Sentecs are definitely nice lookin!

ars for the smaller ones, and sentecs for your breeders

ARS is actually the cheapest per tub/cage

ars for the smaller ones, and sentecs for your breeders

The ARS 8018 tub has more floor space than the 3x2 sentec, looking to stay in the 3' range not the 4' cages.

Were it me between those choices....

I'd go with the ARS

If I wanted something no wider than 3', I'd go a bit deeper than 24" if I could.

Depends how much you like to look at your animals. The racks cut that down where the cages make them more viewable.

Please let us know what you end up getting. I've been thinking of getting their 9512 for bloods and other larger pythons

This was my original thought but honestly I don't like the look of the 9512, plus I know a lot of people who have had success with only the 3'x2' so thats what Im sticking with.

I have but I have seen pictures of them sagging, although I have been told by Ed they don't sag others have disagreed.

I've never used Sentec caging, but that aluminum bar/brace running up the middle of the cage is just asking for bad rubs, imo. I've seen snakes destroy their faces on flat glass. Why give them something else to rub on.

I've never used either of the 3, but if you're looking for some good caging, Animal Plastics are really good. I've used them for a few of my Bloods in the past, as well as most of my larger species.

From the ones I looked at shows (mind you I only have AP cages) I would go with ARS, I really like the habitat ones but damn I could buy a block of housing in the ghetto for a rack of those and those newer sentec cages have strange bracing like Andrew was saying, aluminum around the outer rim and across the middle which besides the rubs gives piss more places to build up and looks like a pain in the neck to clean....

I like Ed's caging but have heard the same about the warping along with the boaphiles and to keep it from warping people suggested wood in between the levels (kinda defeats the purpose of the plastic caging imo)...

I would have to narrow it down to ARS or AP caging depending on what you are looking for rack system or cage system personally....

I use radiant heat panels in all of my prolines and I have no sagging.... If this is for a blood python I would suggest radiant heat panels rather than UTH... Then you can give the blood some substrate to burrow in and not worry about it blocking heat from the bottom....

Best thing about proline cages... they are super easy to clean... nothing sticks to the surface.. urates just pop off.. these cages are super strong too... I dropped one when trying to place it on the top of a six foot stack....and it didnt even leave a mark...... not to mention the price is great..

Better bang for the buck....the AP T-8s. Same footprint as the T-10 but only 12" high instead of 15" AND they're $45 cheaper. Both the AP T-8 and T-10 are on sale right now....$150 and $195 respectively.

I agree

They dont need the extra few inches and it would sure make reaching the animals on top in stacked cages easier.

I had T-10's, now have the VE175 racks, but if I had to go with cages again, I'd get the T-8's.

I love the pro line. I have not seen any sagging, but it did seem to warp slightly during shipping.

Regardless, I will be getting more because they are, by far, the easiest cage to clean. The strength to weight ratio is unbelievable too.

I just got a look at the vision boa tubs which ARS uses for these racks and was suprised the floor space is only 36x24 and the tub measures 40x30, talk about a waste of space. The 8018 and 8514 actually have around the same floor space as these larger tubs.
