View Full Version : Life As A Teenage Reptile Breeder
HiImSteveDuh 03-07-2010, 09:38 PM I know every adult on here remembers those teenage reptile years, so I believe this is a good representation of what its like balancing "teenagerdom" with reptile breeding.
YouTube- Life As A Teenage Reptile Breeder
SNSnakes 03-07-2010, 10:00 PM I have no idea. When I was a teenager, I would go field herping but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine being able to house and BREED reptiles.

Yea... I'm not so great myself. (you cant hear all the missed notes/crowd booing!) My brother got the video game bug, I just got the snake bug :dunno:
Matt S. 03-08-2010, 06:02 PM Any tips in how to talk your mom into a gig like that? I asked if I could build a rack and she said"Over my dead body"... Or I guess I'll just build an awesome collection & propose the idea to her again! Good luck in your herptacultural future!

I don't even remember how my collection got that big. Just one snake at a time I guess. I went from keeping snakes in tanks, to keeping them to tubs, to keeping them in tubs on shelves, to finally in racks. Just a slow transition I guess.
Jesse 03-08-2010, 08:47 PM I enjoyed the video. Looks like a busy, but full teenage life.

PavlovK1025 04-29-2010, 08:45 AM Nice dude. Keep it up. I wish I was allowed to keep herps as a teen, I probably wouldve stayed out of a lot of trouble.

Thats very true, I know theres a lot of saturday nights when instead of going out and getting in trouble I came home early to feed snakes. When you have an animals life depending on you, you have to be reliable. It keeps me out of trouble. Because all the reptiles are all on me. My parents don't know a corn snake from a retic. I dont even let them touch the cages without me there.

Teaches you responsibility and a mess of other things too. Awesome!
Rapture 04-30-2010, 01:49 AM Great video... I was in my early 20's when I started getting more serious about my collection. I do it all myself (plus taking care of other pets and the household), so I know how you feel! It is a very rewarding hobby though, and worth the effort. :yessir:
JChandler 04-30-2010, 07:27 AM Good video
ballpython12001 04-30-2010, 09:38 AM Thats my live, too ;)
LOVE THIS LIVESTYLE !!!
UrbanLegend711 04-30-2010, 01:32 PM Nice video and kudos for being so responsible and successful at such a young age. My mom is deathly afraid of all snakes, so I was never allowed to own snakes until I moved out on my own. I got my first ball python 4 or 5 years ago and got bitten by the snake bug big time. I can't imagine balancing the stresses and business of high school with breeding though. When you get some offspring let me know- I'll definitely give you some business! :)
chris allen 05-05-2010, 08:27 PM Thats awesome. Keep going with it and never stop.
