BT how are the tempers on those bad boys? I've read/heard they are pretty cranky and nippy but I've always thought they were pretty bad ass as adults and wanted to pick one up at some point.

I kind of like how the Kofiaus look after they green up a bit, I have one that changed pretty late as well, but the yellow tone is still very visible and it really stands out among the rest! Great pics!

Roll of the dice with the Kofiau locale, but you will still end up with a killer looking snake and pure Kofiau blood.

I had an adult female Kofiau for 4 years and she was solid yellow the whole time. Then one day she turned green. Almost over night. I was so bummed. Either way though, that snake is killer!

Bah, just looks like a grass stain, should just wash off with a little scrubbing. Damn fine animals :cheers:

BT... I hate to say it but that Aru-type really does not look to be an Aru-type to me... Two of the major traits that are used to define Aru-type are lacking.

i was thinking the same thing even before i read this post.
the head is waaaay too "dragon" to be aru-ish to me !
while i love "aru blue" myself, i resent their girlie little wimpy looking heads.
that thing is not screamin' aru to me bro...

I was not even looking at the head... but then my Aru girl has a pretty robust head for an Aru...

I was more noting the lack of blue on the lats and upper and lower labials and the pointy tail. Neither of those are Aru traits
