I built a snake rack today it holds 24 mens shoe boxes. There some were between 12-15 qts something in that range. I made it out of melamine used peg board for the back. the heat is heat cable that is laid in grooves I routed out. Not a huge fan of heat cable but I had a bunch laying around and its for juvie and hold back ball pythons. So long as it keeps the temps up I'm good. Anyways let me know what you think.

Thanks man. I love working with wood planned on building all the adult racks but when i found out I can fit a 12 high AP rack were my homemade ones would only be 10 high decided to buy AP racks so i can fit more snakes in.

Nice job. It is really amazing how much peg board can stiffen something up isn't it.

nice looking rack, but i have a question for you....how much air gap did you leave between the levels?

my reason for asking is with the humidity over time the shelves tend to bow a bit....and to get the tubs to slide in and out will get a bit harder it does bow.

I would ahve to go back and measure the gap I just used a decantly thick peice of cardboard to make a gap but its got room. I made a decant gap for that reason and cause I didnt want to drill holes in tubs.
