I just love the black. I can't wait to see a high black speckled super conda toffe.

These look like a type of paradox hypo to me. I guess more breeding will have to be done to truly understand all the different hog morphs out there.

Beautiful toffee!

Never worked for me...:dunno: The male would be all over the female, but she would lay infertile eggs. Tried keeping them together throughout brumation...still got infertile eggs....different males didn't help either. Thing was, the very first time she had eggs, SOME of them hatched out, that was the last time. Just seemed the timing was off...if the female was receptive, the male wasn't and vice-versa.

Leave them together year round, or rather after the female goes through her "I do not want to eat" phase. My females go through that phase once a year, at different times. As soon as they take the first meal after the fast, in goes the male. Had them double clutch in November, with eggs hatching in Jan. I leave it up to the females. They go when they are ready....the males are always ready! :lmao:

Thats a good sized female toffee you got there! I see a good amount of adult males around but hardly ever see big females like that. Have you had her since she was a hatchling or did you aquire her later down the line? thanks for posting :)
