So if you put a male in with female on clean paper and you get up in the morning and you see blood streaks. Is this a sign that they bred or is it a sign that the female was pushing bloody discharge out?

Great to know, I'm trying again tonight with my pastel X big ol normal.

If I could just :hijacked: for a minute, would you guys consider a 250g weight gain in just a month when they've only eaten 2 times (and small rats at that) a sign that there are follicles developing? My big girl just went from 1450g up to almost 1700g in less than a month. I'm hoping that's a good sign, plus my pastel's put on a little bit of weight he's jumped up from 550g to 675! I think he'll definitely get the job done now :).

it's a sign that there was a problem with one of the weighing's results.
animals don't gain weight when their follicles develop, they transfer that weight from the fat stores within' their body. no net gain, just redistribution.

Lol ok, I think my girl weighed her last month so I'll just blame her :machinegun: lol. She does look as though she's going into shed though so I'm going to try putting the male back in with her once she's done.
