*I'm putting this here, because usually tegus are with monitor lizard sections, pls move if it's the wrong section, thank you!*

I got one of the 'rescue' lizards today! This is Ozzie with me and his old owner. She said she doesn't have time or money to devote to him any more, so I'm taking him in. He's a cutie!

Another shot.

She had been feeding him one mouse fuzzy once a WEEK when I first met her. So he's actually about 2-3 years old, just so small. Not sure if Ozzie is a immature male or a female. There's no bumps under his tail, all smooth. He's quite a looker, and currantly is in quarentine in the living room. I hope if I can get a little size on him, I might be able to introduce him to my other two tegus and have them together sharing the big outside pen one day!

This same woman is also giving me her blackthroat monitor(after thanksgiving), as soon as I have a setup for it ready.

He/she is definitely a looker thats for sure.

Yes a bit small for a tegu that age but thats nothing some good 'ol fashion home cookin' cant fix!

I like the Tegus.... gotta say I really like that one too. Blackthroats are a really cool monitor to keep, something special about them.... :)

Thanks guys! I've been watching him destroying his quarentine cage all evening. He basks in proper temps, then roots through the deep mulch, and throws his hide box, and kicks mulch... then gets tired and goes to lie under his bulb again.
He's not skinny, becuase she HAS been feeding him properly for about a year now. The color is spectacular, I really like him/her.
