I have a severe case of the Blood flu. I absolutely have to get some before the end of the year. Since I am new to Bloods I dont really know who to deal with. Not ready to buy now just doing my research right now. I like to know a bit about the breeders I buy from. I know of VPI theyve got some beautys, anyone else I should check out?

It all depends on WHAT kind of animal you want. Not one person is known for having the best of all three species. Different people will excel with different species, and then once you get into the morphs, you can break it down even further.
Do you want Red Bloods? Borneos? Blacks?

No bloods here, but we'll likely have some pretty decent Borneos..
If your not familiar with the group, I'll tell ya there is a temperment difference between the 3 species, just like with rat snakes..Its often said the blacks/Curtus are the most placid, followed by the Borneos and then the reds..
But the reds have the biggest following due to their color and now the mutations..There are a good number of folks that are doing a bang up job with the swampies, visit their sites or talk to them..:rebel:

Really like the reds and the blacks. Not really looking for morphs right now, want to see if how I like them before I go all out. Who would you recomend for a nice red Trevor. You have some sweet animals.

I'd check out Kara and bloodpythons.com. All of my bloods came from her and she's always got some primo animals! VPI is definitely good too.

Reds are up and down depending on the color of red involved. A good starter Blood might only run you 100 bucks but could most likely just be a brown animal, but your investment would be small if you didnt like them.
Higher end reds can run you 500 an animal all the way up to 2500 an animal.
Ill have some eggs on the ground soon from a red pair of mine, and am planning on selling a bunch, so you might hold out if your interested. Just a thought....
But some of the people off the top of my head that have Reds at affordable prices for someone just getting into them would be...
James McGhee
Ashley Lopez
Al Brown of Browns Boas
Keith McPeek might have some reds.
Then of course there are some of them along with other like I said that have almost investment level animals that are really red, but again, expect to pay a pretty penny.
