develop after an egg is layed? :dunno: Its been a little over a week since my surprise clutch appeared and all the eggs where pearly white. Now the one on top is developing what looks like a window.
Can this happen? and if it can, what is the cause of it developing after a week or so? I'll try to get pictures but my cell phone takes lousy pics and my new camera is in the mail somewhere. thanx.
Oh and if this isn't in the correct area please move it. thanx.

I had a couple of windows pop up on my eggs last year after they'd been in the incubator a few weeks. I don't think they're anything to really worry about. If you think they may cause an issue though you could try using some liquid bandage on them, I did that last year with one of them that looked like it was really thin and I didn't have any issues at all.
Good luck!

Here's a recent thread...does it look like this egg?

well it does look similar to the egg in that linked thread, minus the green tinge. so I take that as no mold developing. I did candle them and they all have a lot of strong veins showing. thanx for the advice. :D I'll just keep checking and monitoring it.

quick update on my clutch.. the "window" egg is now starting to get a green tinge to it. I will be able to post pics as soon as my new camera gets here :D. So far there is no sweating on the egg, no liquid coming out of the egg as mentioned in the posted link by 2kdime. If no liquid is seeping out, should i just leave it be for now, just keep an eye on it. Or should I apply some liquid bandaid on it now? :dunno: thanx for the advice.
