These are some Sulcata's I kept while living in Florida. I had the 2 larger Tortoises’ and a smaller one that I raised from a baby. Before I got them I built them a 4 x 8 Heated shed and a 24 x 24 pen. I had them for 10 months and the female laid her first clutch and 30 days later another clutch and so on for a total of 3 clutches the first year. The eggs were incubated at 86-87 for about 90-95 days. They were a lot of fun. I allowed mine to dig at first and they can sure dig. The female would dig a hole at about 45 degrees straight for about 8 feet and then turns right and who knows how far after that. But over all they were a lot of fun but you need to have the space to keep them.

Awesome setup brother. Living in a warm climate sure has some great benefits. Nice shots of the little hatchlings..:)

What kind of hay is that? I was told to feed peanut hay. However, they don't eat it.

The food in the pic is Orchard grass. It’s from oxbow and you can get it from the larger pet supplies. I bought mine in 50lbs box for about 50 bucks. Grasses are the main item that the sulcata's need. Bermuda grass and coastal grasses are also good. The problems you get with hay is that it is to rough and the protein is to high. When I had the Tortoise's, I lived in St Petersburg Fl.
