a shot from last year, things changed a little since then, but all plants would be available in just about any walmart plant department. common stuff, other than the spider plants, i really don't remember the names. sorry.

the reddish plants in the back gave it a much different look back then. personally i'm glad it all died off, i think the green leaf varieties really set the cresties off better.

hey chan, good question.
long as the darkest place in the tank is the place that's the best spot to dig in, that's where you'll find the eggs 99% of the time.( got a big clear area behind the verticle 1/2 log on the right, i regularly keep it free from roots when i check for eggs, hence it's easier to dig there)
only time i've found eggs anywhere else was because i let the dampness get too low in the lay area.
