MikeCurtin 04-21-2010, 08:26 PM Well, I for one am glad that Mr. Obama has no intentions on raising taxes on anyone that makes under $250K a year! Hey, none of you poor folk buy anything, do you? :dunno:

JChandler 04-21-2010, 09:59 PM read yesterday in the paper about a local tanning saloon that will have to raise the rates because of a 10% tax increase, they are worried that it will be the thing that pushes them over the edge to close because of the given economy right now...running business out one at a time.
MikeCurtin 04-21-2010, 11:26 PM The shop I work at also provides tanning...not only is there a 10% increase, but minors under the age of 18 can no longer use tanning beds.
I live in MN. It's cold here in the winter. The winter lasts a long time. People get strongly mentally afftected by this. Seasonal Affective Disorder, I think it's called... SAD. My odlest daughter gets that. Advise from her doctor, "Well, you can try taking these pills, or you can try hitting the tanning bed once a week".
Mrs. Sputnik 04-22-2010, 01:04 AM First tanning beds then .......................... will it ever end????????

The article said something about them wanting to tax botox and implants but the lobbyists were to strong so they went with tanning...don't worry Sara under the new system she will have to go to a government run tanning center for treatment or they will issue her a light bulb from a pharmacy

Sara, the disorder has to do with not enough UV rays from the sun during those long, mostly overcast, winter days. You got UV lights in the monitors enclosure? Just set her up a lounge chair next to his basking spot and she'll be fine :D.

When we start passing out lighbulbs via scripts too I'll have to worry.

She actually has 3 or 4 uv lights in her room as well, and will sit right under them at times, holds her beardeds and hangs under their lights, lol!
