View Full Version : Super Sable Pics
CornerstoneReps 11-30-2008, 03:59 AM It is impossible for ME to get a decent pic of this guy. I've tried several times and these are the best I've gotten. He's obviously not the prettiest or most colorful morph in our collection, but I do have some special projects lined up for him over the next few years.

Thanks Noah! He looks SO much better in person.
They're not for everybody, but I believe they have some tremendous combo potential. I've got several cool projects planned for him.

Thanks Alan! I've got a few really cool ideas I'm working on but I don't have the females to make it happen this year. I'm definitely going to pair him up with a few normals because I'd like to produce some females to hold back. I may pair him up with a Mojave also.
very nice
Thanks!
I do not think I have ever seen one of those. Very nice!
Thanks Jenea! You don't see them very often. I've only seen 4 or 5 of them.

Albey 12-01-2008, 09:22 AM Like you said he is not the prettiest morph out there but a very impressive looking animal. So what are your plans for him? I would love to hear what you think might be some good combos.
It is a cool looking morph, curious to see how it does in some crosses....

Thanks Albey! I hope you won't think bad of me if I keep those plans under wraps. I think the general consensus is that these guys are ugly and there's not much interest in them and that works to my favor (and to anyone else's with a vision for their potential). Hopefully one day my faith in these guys will bear a little fruit.

Chris 04-26-2011, 10:40 PM Sorry to bring this old thread up but how is your super sable doing? The new word around town is that super sables dont do good.
Please give us some positives on this super:(
snakeden80 04-26-2011, 11:00 PM one wicked ball
tristatepythons 04-26-2011, 11:07 PM Nice. We have a pair of 2010 babies that we produced. I don't care what anyone says, I think they are a beautiful morph.

If you dont mind telling me, do they have any mechanic problems, or are they perfect normal thriving bps?
From my research it seems alot of super sables do good.
bondo 04-27-2011, 06:57 AM I don't care what anyone says I love the sables. There are so many combos that need to be done with them yet. The only issues I have heard of with super sables is they can sometimes get a little wobbly like a spider.

I do consider them a beautiful looking morph, but they are not without their problems. We actually produced 3, it was a joint project so we took a pair and our friend took a male. His was doing fine, he gave it a hopper one day, it hit it, wrapped it, and when checked on him a few minutes later, both mouse and snake were dead. Our male refuses to eat on his own. He has assist fed a couple of times, but most of the time he needs to be force fed. Now the female, on the other hand, is perfect, she eats great (was slow switching to rats from mice, but that has nothing to do with her being a super sable), and is growing like a weed. I can't say for sure, based on one clutch, but maybe the males tend to have more issues. :dunno:

He has a bit of a nasty attitude but not too bad. He eats like a horse and breeds every female you put him in the tub with. I haven't really noticed any motor skill issues. If he has any, they're very minor.
J-N. Turcotte 04-28-2011, 08:21 PM Looks a lot like a super chocolate.
Was a sable ever breed to a chocolate ? I wonder what's the combo like, if there is any compatibility like the black pastel and cinny.
