If you were a bit further south, that'd be a prime gator hole..

You're so lucky. Growing in Mass I used to love looking for snappers. Now I live in Fl and have no luck finding any. Plus theirs gators in the ponds and lakes, so theirs no walking around in muddy water for me:)

Seems like around here i have more luck with endangered turtles then anything else.
Example......Eastern Milks....Been looking for ever and nothing...
But neighbors have found them etc.....:machinegun:
If you ever come back up this way let me know man.

Sucks about all those destroyed nests, know you had been talking about the raccoons getting to them.
Nice shots!

Nice pics! Speaking of snappers, I saw a BIG one slowly crossing the road in the middle of town (Steven's Point, WI) next to the Plover river at 3:15AM Wednesday morning. She either made it across or someone swiped her because I thought for sure someone would run her down, but no road burger the next day...:lmao:

You may have some company sometime soon. If....if...if....I can get away. I may bring Frank with me.....he's a small guy and should be easy to stow! :lmao:
