A painted turtle out on my brother in laws property. I need to figure out a way to keep the coons away from them.

Cool find, we've got Red-eared Sliders coming up in the neighborhood from the creek to lay. Regarding the coons my best guess would to build some sort of frame to cover them until they hatch. Hard to build something that they won't be able to tear up though!

There's a pond across the street and they come from there but we never get many here Jeremy. A paint or two and maybe a Blandings. Most nests are within ten or fifteen feet from the ponds edge. I see a dozen every year destroyed be coons or possums. I'd love to be able to allow some of the babies the oppertunity to grow up and reproduce.

I'm going back tomorrow to check and see if she did lay there.
