So we got the monitors moved into their new room!:wamma:
Took longer then it should have, but we (well, Bruce) had some awful problems with the plumbing. He finally got it all plumbed with the tub and I decided I wanted to use the big waterland tub instead. But here's some pics of the process. This used to be the cricket overstock and qt and whatever room. So first had to get it cleared out, then put up waterproof paneling, then the electrical stuff, on and on... Still needing some tweaking, but good enough for them to be there!

and some more. We did take the tape off the door that bruce had to make after we were done painting it. It's an odd sized opening, so he had to build one himself.

WOW! That's really cool!!! You going to post some pics of them lounging in their new space???? I love the waterland tubs and if I ever get back into turtles, I will go that route-- hadn't thought of using them for monitor pools.

It's about time! They're gonna love it!!

I will as soon as they settle in a bit. Right now they are hiding under the tub wondering what fresh hell they are in now, lol! It's up on a stand that Bruce had built for it when I had the aqautic turtles in it. We filled the smaller deep side with a sand/peat mix for them, and bruce is going to make a cover for that side with a hole in it for in and out access.

Jason, lmao at the pink stripe!! Shhh, I liked it and swore nobody would notice, HE wanted to get rid of it!! LOL!!

Yup! Actually tossed Tinley the sulpher in there as well and we'll see if they all play nice. They do come out all at the same time sometimes on leashes and for "play" time and have never had a problem, but have never lived together before. The male black is scared of her, it's pretty funny! She'll walk up to him and tongue flick and just check him out and he runs away!:eek::lmao::lmao: The female just ignores her most times, so think that they'll be fine.

haha! The nile I have boxed me on the hip yesterday-- I would have matched Sara with a face whack if I hadn't been paying attention... One of the savs' "nipped" me today.... then my carpet "tasted" me today and found himself on the floor lol.... I've got 3 monitors and I want more... but I got to get the 3 I have to be nice before the boyfriend will let me have anything else "mean"...

But they are so gorgeous.... I keep looking at the pics... The dark ones really strike my fancy... just not their price tags lol...

About yay big by so big... lol! Sorry, I am not sure, I'll ask Bruce when he gets home.

Our building was I believe a bank at one time and then a manufacturing building with office's in the front. That room was originally the women's bathroom (hence the pink tiles). It's 6' wide by about 10-12' deep.
