after a long day of after-the-show straightening out all the stuff that got neglected while we were away for three days...
my kids are preppin' the cgd for the cresties, i'm about to shut the plant light off the breeder tank, and i can't believe i'm seein' what i'm lookin' at...tiny little crestie with a serious stress shed in the corner of the tank ! musta missed that september clutch location, someone was diggin' in the lay spot and never laid eggs there. looked everywhere (or so i thought).
extracted the little bugger while the adults were still sleepin'. hope it makes it.
put it in a food container and sprayed the crap out of it. wish me luck.
checked the whole tank for a sib or another egg...nothin'. may never know what happened to the other egg (or clutchmate).
all this after tellin' chandler that they lay 99% of their eggs right where i expect them too. spoke to soon there !
just thought you'd like to hear 'bout it.
i'll get a pic if it survives the stress shed, haven't had good success with that...
