The head bangin' ritual of males in competition over a female. I seperated Diablo and Rapuda to see if Rapuda would eat. For lack of any place else to put Diablo, I stuck him in with Squeeze. It wasn't five minutes and they were tanglin' up and swattin' heads together and just basically tryin' to get,and keep, the upper hand. It was quite the show.

That is pretty cool. Thats pure primal instinct at it's best. I've got a buddy that lets his carpets beat the crap out of each other, during breeding season. He always says how his animals live such great lives they eat, they fight and the winners get to breed...

Well, yes and no. Although Diablo held his own pretty well, Squeeze is twice his size and almost triple his weight. BUT I really want pastels this season so Diablo got to share the ladys bed last night. Good thing too. I woke up this morning to another lock up.

I really want to see this.. I've heard of people doing this to get males to breed but I've never seen it.. I thought I heard the loser wouldn't breed right after.. I guess you debunked that myth for me Quig!!

I've only seen it happen once with Ball pythons, but you see it a lot in rattlesnakes. Its quite a sight to watch to dudes battle it out for the females. lol
