i have siad on here befor that i finished my gunsmithing classes a year or so ago just thought i would share my latest project it stared out life as a mosin nagant ussr. service rifle after a new stock custom scope mount and compensator and finish i have a freind with a machine shop i made the mount an comp at his place it started out loking like this

i dont care much for the colors on the stock but im building it for a freind of mine so it was his choice

i also got this today it going to be my next project its a 50. cal flint lock pistol should be fun to shoot when i am done

the custom mosin is still chambered in 7.62X 54

I owned an M44, there is a great surplus store not far from me..

The first time I shot it a pinched a nerve in my neck and was out for work for two days. It sat in my closet for about a year until I traded it in..

I'll stick to my trusty SKS.

Is that Mosin a top eject? I've got a .454 cassull that I was gonna get a side mount for but nobody up here drills and taps. Gettin' used to the iron sights but I likes a good scope :yes:

And that pistol's kick ass. What is it, 6 inches long? :D. I like black powder too.

Quig, yeah the Mosin is a top eject. That's why the Mosin snipers have bent bolt handles.

One of the best things to do with these M44's is fire them at night, they produce one hell of a muzzle blast. I've got a M38 that's a blast to shoot and a couple of Chinese M44's used in Vietnam.
