Hello, I have been searching the Internet for information regarding keeping blue tongue skinks in rack systems. I have only come across keeping babies and smaller skinks but not adults. I was thinking a 41 qt or 74 qt rack but I am unsure if 41 qt would be too small. If any one keeps them in racks or have knowledge of keeping them in racks any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

I keep the few I have in a rack-- along with my beardies... It's not a rack like we use with snakes but they are all stacked up.
I use a 90 qt tub with mine and they still get basking lights and UV.... The 90 is tight for an adult but they get romps in the bathtub weekly and handled regularly so it works for us....
The space between each shelf allows just enough room to put the lights on top the mesh...
Mine is not finished yet-- I only have one level completely finished but I'll work on it this week and get some pictures...

Used to keep my adults in the christmas tree tubs with no issues at all.
As long as they are getting thesuplement needed then theey are good to go.
I know it has been a debate for quit some time now with BTS breeders.
But i personally know a few people that have successfully kept them in racks for YEARS with no adverse effects.

32 qt is big enough. I kept some 20 years like that. They breed almost every year for me. You can have mites in the ears if you have animals coming in. Keep an Eye out for that. I'm going to switch to the cb70 for the thermal gradient.

I guess they don't need UVB. Or do you just give them D3 supplements. I really like these guys, but feel I don't have the room for the large tanks.
