How late does FedEx have to be before you can get a refund? Does anyone here have experience with this?

Late is late, if it's not delivered by 10:30am just for example and they don't show up till, well, lets just say 1:45pm then you should be entitled to that money back....

Good luck!

If you are a certified Fedex reptile shipper you can't get a refund - the contract states as such - you've got no coverage at all on reptiles.

This even goes for being late? I thought it was just on the animals.

I see it on my waiver now. I'm emailing my rep anyway to see what she says.

It does suck -- and chances are, if you make a stink, you probably will get a refund -- but it comes as kind of a double edge sword -- you've agreed to the terms when you signed the waiver - that doesn't make you (or the reptile industry) look good to the Fedex people - so it's generally frowned upon.

I'd probably let it go, but I think Fedex are really screwing people over with that waiver.... just an excuse to deliver something as late as they want even though you paid for priority over night.... which really seems a conflict of terms.

Yeah, no refunds.. I've politely asked if there was anything that could be done, since the animal got stuck overnight in Indianapolis, but, nope, the best they would do was deliver the animal the next day. Kinda sucks.

I've had alot of fedex deliveries to me be extremely late, or show up the next day. I really am very excited to see what Robyn can do with UPS. Fedex is our only door to door option right now, though.

I shipped three packages yesterday. Two were a few hours late. I nicely told my rep. She said that she doesn't have access to account info, but told me to call a number to get my credit. May let this part slide.

However, on top of them being late. I have four charges against my credit card for three boxes shipped.

They also don't guarantee early am deliveries in all areas. Sometimes you have to have customers check with their local Fed Ex hub. I'm not guaranteed delivery on am deliveries in my area. They usually show up around 1:30-2:00. Sometimes having customers pickup at the hub would be a better option.

That is the option I'm now taking, local fedex kinkos is 10 mins away for me!

No, not a hub.... but it's right across the street from the hub, so in a way you could call it a hub! LOL

I too hope the UPS thing works out as I work right next to the Rockford Airport and the UPS hub is 2 minutes from me. Its way closer than the Fedex hub which is across freaking town.....

i have had a couple shipped but all of mine are usually on time around 10:30 some times close to 11:00 but generally on time and they say im in a rural area. so far no bad experience but my collection of herps isnt over by any means so i will see i guess lol.

Here is what I do. Wait until your invoice comes. Call the number on the bill for customer service and tell them it was late in delivery. The will check the circumstances and will usually tell you they have taken care of it (unless the customer is in a rural area or one that is not guaranteed by 10:30). The people doing billing have no idea what you are shipping and for that matter it could be anything even if your company name has Reptiles in it like mine does. If the animal is DOA I do nothing. I don’t want to raise any flags. Do not call your Rep. under any circumstances.

Well that would explain why my delivery to California yesterday didn’t get there until 3:30. I will know not to even try to get credited for that one. Thanks Phil

Exactly... and if you live in the sticks... it dont matter either. I had a shipment of snakes that was supposed to arrive by 10... by 12:30 I had called fedx to see what was going on... and they told me that since I was rural... they didnt have to be there until 4pm. WTF. My snakes actually arrived at about 3pm

I can get refunds if there was no bad weather, all it takes is them to say there was some issue with the weather and kiss any refund goodbye.
